Congratulations to the AlaWest STEM Learning Ecosystem for their outstanding collaborative efforts in strengthening STEM education and workforce development, bringing together educators, business leaders, and community members to create lasting impact across the region!
Building Integrated Systems for STEM Learning, Workforce, & Economic Growth | Senior Director of Learning Systems at TIES | Leader in Systems Change | Former public school educator and leader | STEM advocate
🌟 Empowering Communities through STEM 🌟 Today’s Design Studio meeting for the AlaWest STEM Learning Ecosystems at The University of West Alabama was full of collaboration and innovation! Together, we worked on building strong, interconnected partnerships to strengthen #STEM education across the region. With educators, business leaders, community members, and economic development agencies all at the table, we explored strategies to enhance opportunities for young people to ensure they’re prepared for the workforce of tomorrow. At TIES Teaching Institute for Excellence in STEM we do many things but one of the most rewarding things we do is to stand up STEM Learning Ecosystems, empowering communities to create systems that not only foster learning but also connectedness around STEM education, workforce, and economic development. It’s not just about individual programs—it's about coordinated efforts that truly drive impact and reflect the values of each community. The AlaWest #STEM Ecosystem and the Alabama STEM Council are doing just that by bringing together communities to ensure lasting change. 🌱 Are you excited about the future of STEM, not only in Alabama but also beyond? Contact me and let's continue this important work together! 🌍✨ S.
