About us

The Hispanic Leaders Group of Greater St. Louis (HLG) was founded in 1983 with the purpose of serving the Hispanic community as an umbrella organization for the various Hispanic groups in the St. Louis region. The founders of HLG had as one of their goals to unite the diverse Hispanic community, and present its voice to the larger society. Anthony B. Ramirez was the initiator of this effort along with a few others. HLG promotes Hispanic views on issues such as education, culture, language, immigration, policy analysis, health, economic development, organized labor, employment, political awareness, and civil rights.
