For anyone who tried to come to our live demo today, the tech gods were not with us to livestream. Kathleen + Rebecca got scrappy, tho, and recorded the episode in Zoom, which we will send out as a replay ASAP. This was an incredible build, in real time, that will show you what you can do with a custom GPT in under an hour.

Where in the world is Rebecca Gunter? Deep in the underbelly of large-language models. Ever since Lucas Carlson dropped transformational beliefs like Easter Bunny on a pivotal episode of the Stoned Fruit Roll.Up, “A-Ideation for Writers,” we have been transfixed with the power of AI. BEFORE: Yikes, Corporate Interests are l-i-t-e-r-a-l-l-y everywhere. AFTER: Not not true, fam, but if you’ve got an avoidant attachment to AI stuff, you might be missing the point. Let's challenge the idea that it’s either/or with this level of disruption. Either Evil Empire or Laziness, Personified. Either the greatest thing since the first desktop computer or the fall of humankind. Either a cheat code or a strategist’s wet dream. It is all those things and more. And whilst we do not own a crystal ball 🔮— yet — it’s safe to say that it will be nothing but rapid-fire paradigm shifts for the foreseeable future. In the meantime, let’s have fun! Because if we can get out of this internal tug-of-war with something that is l-i-t-e-r-a-l-l-y everywhere and understand it, it will feel a lot less scary. ChatGPT has changed nearly every aspect of how we do business. “Today you are a contract lifecycle manager. What are we missing with this service agreement?” “Octo Ophelia, how can we add more value to this bundle of services?” “Hey girl hey! Let’s co-create a brand book!” What’s more, we’ve built a custom GPT for every one of our clients. With just a little elbow grease and a whole lot of brand strategy, you can create a very effective agent to help you find custom, on-brand solutions for a whole heap of business problems. “Octo Ophelia. Good morning. We need 10 LinkedIn posts for Unleashed Financial Solutions. Can you help with that?” In mere moments, you have something you can really work with. The best part? You can share the link to that custom GPT with the client who needs it. Now our people have instant access to a trained agent who can help them bang out quick copy needs, validate a strategy, or do market research. The more we all use it, the better it will get. Facts. God, we love win-win-win situations. How do you do that voodoo that you do so well? Athena Harper taught us. At the end of 2024, she showed us how she was using ChatGPT to fuel her Wordpress WIzardry at ViralMGT. Ever since then, we’ve been giddy co-conspirators on how to apply the "Brandthropologist's Lens” to build a kickass custom GPT. Join Rebecca + Kathleen for a LIVE demo at 2pm est on LinkedIn and YouTube. Kathleen has gleefully volunteered as tribute! (Kathleen > Katniss. We said what we said.) Rebecca is going to build a custom GPT for her in less than an hour. If you’re using a large language model, what you learn there may fundamentally change how you’re using it. If you’re avoiding it like the plague, you might see things from a fresh perspective. If you're even the least bit curious, come play.

Writers, we all know the Doomsday machine we’re all being sold in even just the thought of AI, but Lucas Carlson has another perspective: "The value of AI is not in doing the things that people aren't good at already; the value in AI is in stretching the capacity of something you are already good at." For example, he shared, if you're not good at graphic design, but CANVA PRO allows you to make a graphic that's good enough... meh. The mediocrity is not improved. In fact, it just makes more meh work. However, if you are a writer and you use AI not to write per se, but instead to help you structure stories and explore ideas, now that is something. The key is in discernment and taste. A good writer (or designer or fill-in-the-blank) already knows what makes good writing. They use AI to help the writing process, not replicate it. Lucas reminds us that AI is not the creative replacement, but the creative enhancer, pushing your craft to explore new universes. If you're freaking out about the AI takeover, fret not. We believe that creative people will find a way to stand up and stand out (or sit down and shut up). You can differentiate yourself from the copycats in this bot-eat-bot world. You just gotta give curious colleagues, clients, and collaborators something to believe in. After all, when it comes to AI, the jury is still out on Friend or Faux?, but one thing for certain and two things for sure, you know it when you see it. Think enhancement, not replacement. The world needs to amplify you and your unique voice as much--if not more--than it needs a way to just tackle the tedious. Merry christmas!! Heres a replay <3 The holidays are upon us, and if you’re a typical Yank like podcast producer Tony Porreco (of SoundGround Productions), you’re probably aware that the UK has their own range of unique holiday traditions and quirks to celebrate the season (Boxing Day? Figgy puddings? Pulling crackers?), but you certainly couldn’t even pull together a TLDR on them. In this installment of UK All Day (a Stoned Fruit production), resident Brit culture expert and business maven Gill Moakes joins Tony to answer all your questions about how the Brits jingle and mingle all season long.

When did failure become such a toxic trait? After all, it doesn’t mean that there’s something wrong with you, per se. It means that this time, the thing you tried did not achieve your desired results. No matter how you slice it, you learned something from that experience –– either to try it differently or leave it alone. And that choice, IMHO, is all about how much of your pride you’re willing to stake on learning how to get to that desired result. Is the juice worth the squeeze? If the answer is yes, then stop seeing failure as something with a capital F and start seeing it as a stepping stone to success. Cheesy? Yes. Accurate? Also yes. Come connect in conversation with two of the biggest superstars who have reframed failure and built remarkable organizations. Angela Rakis, founder of Favorite Daughter, DC’s go-to when they need to make marketing magic happen for their food (or other) business and Gina Shafer, former CEO of 13 Hardware Stores and author of Recovery Hardware, the queen of executing a bold vision for win-win-win scenarios, are here to share their insights, trails, and triumphs. Let’s get into it: just how do you turn heavy obstacles into tra-lalala stepping stones? What stories can you tell us that will inspire even one person to start seeing failure as a good thing? Paint us a picture of a possible future state when we’ve actually done it, when we’ve put failure into perspective. 🍑 More Angela Rakis? Failure is Not the Enemy, Embracing Setbacks as Stepping Stones to Success

Tomorrow on the Stoned Fruit Roll.Up, our pals Gina Schaefer and @angelarakis are coming to talk shop about Failure with Rebecca and Kathleen. We're going to get into it, reframing failure not as a thing to be avoided, but as a thing to be embraced. Failure is a stepping stone to success. We first met this radical idea while working with our longest standing client @jenthornton / 304 Coaching and it changed everything. But you don't have to take our word for it, let JT tell it like it is....
