Over the last decade, the city of Detroit has transformed its stormwater management efforts, tackling challenges like aging infrastructure, combined sewer overflows (CSO), and flooding risks. The Detroit Water and Sewerage Department (DWSD) has embraced Green Stormwater Infrastructure (GSI) to meet regulatory requirements and protect the city. 🌿🌊 With over 200 acres managed and major projects underway, DWSD’s GSI portfolio is setting the stage for even bigger solutions in the coming years.
