Thank you to the CDC Foundation for inviting Luis Ortega and Irina Ortega Sanchez from Storytellers for Change to lead a day-long workshop focused on impactful, equity-centered, and asset-based storytelling. “Asset-based storytelling requires us to communicate critical hope. We can be critical about inequitable systems and uplift the strengths, agency, and hope of our communities.” — Luis Ortega Through story-crafting and team-building activities, participants engaged with a structured framework to develop compelling, community-centric, asset-based narratives that resonate with their audiences. This approach empowers storytellers to build compelling story arcs that illustrate impact while honoring and centering the strengths within each community. #StorytellersForChange #AssetBasedStorytelling #EquityCenteredStorytelling #CriticalHope #Workshops

Community, we are thrilled to launch our fourth Storytellers Cohort in partnership with Domonique Meeks and Ambassador Stories. This fall, we are also collaborating with the Sheng-Yen Lu Foundation to host a cohort of storytellers from their grantee organizations. Over the next five months, we'll collaborate with this incredible group of changemakers to engage in story-listening, story-crafting, and story-sharing. The cohort will culminate with a storytelling showcase that will also include presentations from cohort members from previous years. We are excited to welcome this new group of changemakers to our storytelling community. Thank you to our collaborators, partners, facilitators, and community members for your ongoing support. We are co-building a beautiful collective of storytellers committed to imagining, crafting, and sharing stories to build an equitable world. #StorytellersforChange #storytelling #cohort #narrative #storytellers #onlinecourse #narrativechange

Community, join us for our second Stories in Action webinar! We are excited to feature Belén Iñiguez and Lina Ortega, co-founders of Este Poder, an organization dedicated to empowering rural communities of color in East Texas. Many in these communities have long been excluded from participating in the structures and processes that determine their future. Este Poder works year-round to overcome these systemic barriers and foster civic engagement while addressing pressing issues like immigration, healthcare, and wealth inequality. #StorytellingForChange #SocialImpact #EquityCentered #EstePoder #WebinarSeries #LeadershipThroughStory #Storytelling #Latine
