This month, we had the pleasure of hosting our annual golf tournament to close out our Matagorda County United Way fundraiser. It was a fantastic day filled with friendly competition, community spirit, and generous contributions from everyone involved. Congratulations to all of our winners, and thank you to everyone who came out to support this great cause. Together, we are making a positive impact for the Matagorda County community.

At STP, we take pride in being prepared. On Monday afternoon, our site entered our Severe Weather Procedure in preparation for Tropical Storm Francine. Although our area is not within the storm’s currently projected path, our teams have been monitoring forecasts for days to help us stay ready. We work to ensure our entire team and our site is well-prepared for any storm impacts that may come to our area. #STPproud

Celebrating International Day of Charity! At STP, we love giving back to our community. STP is proud to be one of the largest contributors to the Matagorda County United Way, including both company and employee donations. STP also supports numerous local education foundations, first responder organizations, civic charities, and economic development & business support organizations.

🌟 Spotlight on Leadership: Kym Harshaw 🌟 U.S. WIN EAC member Kym Harshaw became the Chief Nuclear Officer of STP Nuclear Operating Company in 2021 and was named Acting President, Chief Executive Officer, and Chief Nuclear Officer in March 2024. Her extensive experience and unwavering dedication have been instrumental in ensuring the safe and reliable operations of Units 1 and 2, while also guiding the strategic direction of the organization. Her vision and expertise are truly inspiring, and we look forward to seeing the continued positive impact of her work. Last night, our very own Rudy Perez had the honor of performing the National Anthem for the Sugar Land Space Cowboys Baseball game at Constellation Field! It was a night to remember, with several of our STP team members showing up to cheer him on. We're beyond proud of Rudy's amazing performance. Congratulations to Rudy for this outstanding achievement!

STP Employee Appreciation Day was a sweet celebration of the dedication and hard work of our incredible team!

STP had the honor of serving as the title sponsor for the Bay City Chamber of Commerce & Agriculture luncheon featuring Congressman Troy E. Nehls. It was a valuable opportunity to engage with local leaders and hear the Congressman’s insights on key policies and initiatives impacting Matagorda County. We appreciate the continued dialogue that strengthens our community and look forward to the positive developments ahead.

Supporting the future of skilled trades at Van Vleck High School! With the help of the Nuclear Purchasing & Material Management team, STP donated essential safety gear, including leather gloves, safety glasses, welding gloves, safety goggles, face shields, and ear plugs to the school's Ag Department. Special thanks to Roger Dement, who shared his inspiring journey with the students. As an alum of the program, Roger spoke about how his experience in the classroom shaped his career and encouraged the students to keep pursuing their goals.

Betting on community! We had a great time attending the Poker in Palacios fundraiser this past weekend, all in support of the Palacios Chamber of Commerce.
