@HarvardCEPR Strategic Data Project (#SDPfellow) Transforming the use of data in education to improve student outcomes
About us
Harvard's Strategic Data Project works with education organizations to transform their use of data to improve student outcomes. Since 2008, SDP has partnered with school districts, charter networks, state agencies, and nonprofit organizations across the country and around the world to bring high-quality research methods and data analysis to bear on education management and policy decisions. The Strategic Data Project recruits and trains data talent to move forward strategic priorities in our partner organizations through our fellowship program and offers short-term training opportunities for education data analysts through the SDP Institute. SDP is an initiative of the Center for Education Policy Research at Harvard University.

Unique to Cohort 16 of the SDP Fellowship is our partnership with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Child Trends to investigate the following questions: Does Pre-K supply and enrollment procedures at the community level meet family needs? Are children meeting developmental and learning milestones along the P-3 continuum? SDP Fellows from Boston Public Schools, California Department of Education, Center for Early Learning Funding Equity (CECIDS), Chicago Public Schools, DC Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE), Denver Preschool Program, Denver Public Schools, Office of Financial Management (ERDC), South Carolina First Steps, National Head Start Association, and the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care, will participate in two working groups focused on analyses inspired by the STEP Forward with Data Framework, a framework written by a team at Child Trends. 💡 Read more about the SDP Early Education Working Groups here: https://ow.ly/mLYL50Ttx1a
