On a recent project, Strategy provided the detailed engineering and design for the modifications of an existing platform. As part of the facility modifications, a structural module was installed on the existing rig beams on the south end of the platform to provide support for the gas compressor and test separator. The module was installed offshore by a derrick barge. The remaining equipment was installed on the main deck and cellar deck of the platform. Do you have an upcoming modification planned? Strategy recently supplied all the skidded equipment for this 30 MMSCFD Greenfield Compressor Station in New Mexico. All skids were laser scanned to confirm exact tie-in points on skid prior to shipping to the field for installation. Strategy’s Reality Capture Team performed a laser scan on facility utilizing our FARO® equipment and processed in SCENE. The point cloud was utilized to check construction against original design for accurate installation of additional compressor and sump tank. A turnkey construction project managed by Strategy uses the same materials and is designed to the same specifications and standards as conventionally built facilities. The difference? Prefabrication and skidded equipment. On a recent project, Strategy completes the turnkey installation of a sour gas (20,000 ppm), modular multi-well package with allocation separators including gas lift metering and control. Equipment and piperacks were skidded and interconnect pipe was prefabricated for a plug and play installation. The package was designed to be expandable to bring in additional wells from adjacent well pads. Pipelines were a Flexpipe composite pipe to handle sour gas, one each for HP & LP gathering and included a major pipeline crossing and a county road boring. Strategy is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer who will be responsible for structural design and technical supervision of engineering activities associated with design, procurement and fabrication of structural components on projects executed by Strategy Engineering. REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Define requirements for design of various structural components for offshore structures; Coordinate with engineers assigned to the project in the structural engineering group; Develop SACS model as required for structural components (jackets, decks, modules); Size structural members; Prepare/review structural specifications; Perform in-place, lift, loadout, transportation and other installation analyses as required; Interact with clients, installation contractors and fabricators to review project issues; Coordinate drafting activities; Assist with preparation of technical documents for Request for Quotation packages; Prepare technical evaluations of fabricator and/or installation quotations; Review vendor skid drawings.; Interface with other disciplines to minimize conflicts and errors. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Licensed Professional Engineer required; 7-15+ years of experience in structural engineering activities; Knowledge of SACS structural software; Offshore travel is required periodically and thus T-HUET certification is required (can be provided by Company if previously expired); Working knowledge of current industrial specifications including API and AISC codes; Good communication skills. https://lnkd.in/gn44dmPw #SeniorStructuralEngineer #OffshoreEngineering #SACS #StrategyTeam

The Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) has activated its Hurricane Response Team and is monitoring offshore oil and gas operators in the Gulf of Mexico as they continue their response to Hurricane Helene. From operator reports, BSEE estimates that approximately 3.35% of the current oil production and 0.91% of the current natural gas production in the Gulf of Mexico is shut-in. Now that the storm has passed, facilities will be inspected. Once all standard checks have been completed, production from undamaged facilities will be brought back online immediately.
