Meet Stratium’s Operations Supervisor, Jonathan Herr. Jonathan is a well experienced operations supervisor who has worked in agricultural operations for the majority of his career. His time in agriculture gave him the toolset to streamline complex operations, while maintaining Stratrium’s high bar for quality and consistency. Jonathan is responsible for keeping facilities running smoothly.

Recently, we held facility tours for students from the Buffalo Science Academy. These students were able to see sustainable insect farming practices and learn about the use of black soldier fly larvae as an alternative protein source. We were thrilled with the students’ enthusiasm, and we hope to continue to inspire the next generation of eco-conscious leaders.

We are excited to announce that Stratium’s own Bobbie Armstrong will be presenting at the New York State Organics Summit on April 16th. Her presentation will be covering recent innovations that are helping to guide advancements in sustainable organics management, including efforts focused on the upcycling of food scraps into insect protein.
