🎉 Proud to share that our own Marek Czajkowski's contribution has been merged into ApachePulsar 4.0.0 Long-Term-Support (LTS) version! Marek developed an event-time-based topic compaction algorithm that solves a crucial challenge in message ordering 🚃🚃🚃. His 'EventTimeOrderCompactor' ensures messages are compacted based on their actual event time rather than publish order. Apache Pulsar 4.0.0, the next long-term support (LTS) version, has been released. The StreamX.dev team contributed to this release by introducing an alternative, event-time-based topic compaction algorithm. adaptTo() powered by diva-e kicks off today! Our team - Marta Cukierman, Michał Cukierman and Kamil Chociej - is heading to Berlin. A year ago on the adaptTo() stage, Marta spoke about building experiences that are served instantly, relevant, and available to millions of users at the same time. These principles, then spoken about in the context of WebSight DXP, became the foundation of StreamX as its own thing. Start building sites that respond in single-digit milliseconds, handle millions of requests, and automatically scale and recover in the event of failures. I've just uploaded a recording from a recent demo showcasing StreamX's capabilities in resilience, performance, scalability, and low latency. During this 5-minute test: > Over 12 million HTTP requests were processed. > Latency stayed incredibly low - between 4ms (50th percentile) and 15ms (95th percentile). > No errors even under heavy load and simulated server crash. > Concurrent publication pipeline processed requests in just 33ms. > Auto-recovery in action - one server was removed, and the system recovered instantly. > Near linear horizontal scalability (double the servers, double the throughput) All of this was achieved on a moderate 40-CPU cluster. Locust was deployed on a separate cluster with 42 x 8-CPU machines stress testing our system.
