We're thrilled to share the incredible results from North Carolina Virtual Academy's (NCVA) online summer learning camp, focused on improving reading proficiency among third-grade students! 📚✨ Over 70 third graders participated in a three-week camp, utilizing the innovative Reading Eggs program from @3PLearning. With just 30 minutes of daily practice, an impressive 77% of students showed significant improvement in their reading skills, allowing them to advance from grade three to grade four. Did you know K12, offers a Pre-K program where students can enjoy an interactive classroom environment enriched by active parental involvement? 💻🚀 At California Virtual Academies, parents and children have the unique opportunity to learn together! One day exploring a science lesson together by planting seeds and carefully tending to the soil, the next practicing vocabulary terms. Students join brief, live sessions and engage in hands-on, multimedia lessons that keep them interested. They also collaborate with classmates through activities that promote sharing and friendship. A North Carolina Virtual Academy teacher is honoring a former student who is currently fighting cancer. 👊 Jessica Kronen, a second grade teacher at North Carolina Virtual Academy teamed up with St. Baldrick's Foundation to raise money for childhood cancer research by shaving her head during the 17th Annual Growler Beach Volleyball Championship. 💇♀️❤️ The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a donor and volunteer-driven charity dedicated to funding the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers and help survivors lead long, healthy lives. Since 2004, the Triangle Area St. Baldrick's head shaving events have raised over $14 million for childhood cancer research.

In fact, there are about 1.8 million openings in healthcare job openings projected each year. For eSchool News, Adam Hawf Superintendent at Stride K12, discussed the transformative impact of virtual academies in providing quality education for all students. 🚀💻 A 2023 National School Choice Week poll found that nearly half of parents are actively seeking new school options for their children.
