Affordability is now in focus. We have seen a decrease in demand in leads, show and close rates over the past few months. We have examined the conversations and within these conversations we are seeing an increase of "Putting purchase off" "Can't afford". Coincidentally "bought elsewhere" isn't showing up for our dealers as much as I thought it would. This is based on 160,000 calls per month using our Strolid conversational search feature. We must find ways to get creative and go back to working every deal to the bone. That also means, never miss a lead, call, text or chat. Never miss an opportunity or a conversation. Conversations and engaged customers are the first steps to selling more. Work every angle and every engaged customer. Take what you can get and move metal. Here is a breakdown of key word searches from our Strolid Search: *Putting off purchase- 8408 calls or 5.26% of people we speak with. *Price too High- 7640 or 4.8% of people we speak with *Interest Rate- 5225 in Sept compared to 4397 in August or 3.2% of people we speak with *Bought elsewhere- 2397 or 1.5% of people we speak with.
