Access to affordable, appropriate childcare enables women to work and earn income, leading to better health and nutrition for their families. Over 600 million women globally cannot work due to unpaid care responsibilities. Expanding quality childcare could create 43 million new jobs while giving millions of children access to vital nutrition programs. In well-run childcare programs, children show better health outcomes through reduced stunting and improved weight measures. What a memorable moment that brought both clarity to our challenges and hope for what we can achieve. #NourishEquality addresses the vital link between nutrition and gender equality. Better outcomes for women's rights, health, education, and opportunity improve nutrition. Good nutrition, in turn, supports gender equality.
