We sustain a learning community that applies socio-technical systems theory to solve organization design challenges
About us
The Socio-technical Systems Roundtable is a global network of organization design practitioners, academics, students and organizational leaders passionate about creating thriving organizations where technologies serve humans and enhance work lives. Our mission is to sustain a learning community that applies socio-technical systems theory and practice to solve organization design challenges in a digital world. We host a variety of online and in-person forums throughout the year which are open to the public and designed and facilitated by members of our global network. We are also co-founders of the Global Network for SmarT Organization Design. Our success and strength as a relevant and viable contributor to the field of organization design relies on passionate, creative and energetic members who are excited to engage with each other and share their ideas, experiences and smarts. In the spirit of community learning and co-creation, we are engaging our members and colleagues to help us reinvent the SODF (Smart Organization Design Framework) and create workspaces charactherized by: * Self-directed and responsible employees * Rapid and continuous learning * Physical and psychological safety * Shared rewards and accountability * Coordinated and interconnected (not siloed) relationships * Meaningful work that engages both hands and minds * Technologies that serve humas and enhance work lives
