An inside look at our completed project in Morris, IL with the Morris Fire Protection District! The scope of this project was unique in that it combined a traditional fire station and a museum element. We were excited to collaborate with Old Second National Bank on the design of their new branch in Bloomingdale! Our team focused on creating a space that reflects the latest trends in banking, from enhanced drive-through services and ATMs to private banking opportunities and a modernized teller line. This project also provided the perfect opportunity to introduce the bank’s new branding standards, ensuring consistency with other updated and refreshed facilities. The result? Earlier this month, Studio GC volunteered for a Team Build Day with Habitat for Humanity’s Chicago Chapter! Our crew joined forces with several of the future homeowners and volunteers to work on four homes in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood, supporting Habitat’s mission of building affordable housing for families to create strong and stable communities. Despite the heat (88 degrees!), our dedicated team rolled up their sleeves to help construct and erect walls for a garage and tackle some soffit work (for those on the team not afraid of going up three stories on ladders and scaffolding!) Phase 1 Complete! ✅ We’re excited to share the progress on Amos Alonzo Stagg High School’s 16,500 sq. ft. addition! Collaborating with CHSD 230, we identified the need for new classrooms, teacher workspaces, and a solution to traffic challenges around the school. The multi-phase project will deliver 11 classrooms, 4 science labs, 7 offices, 52 teacher workstations, a 20-person meeting room, and a rooftop environmental learning space. With Phase 1 complete, students and staff are already benefiting from the new spaces as they kicked off the 2024-2025 school year! We’re excited to spotlight one of our latest completed projects, a dynamic 17,000 sq. ft. office space designed to foster collaboration and productivity for a growing team. With 150 new workspaces thoughtfully arranged across various environments, this office was crafted to support different working styles. Near the entrance, you’ll find a range of conference rooms, from an open living room concept to a more formal corporate boardroom, perfect for both casual and executive meetings. The high-end café provides a welcoming space with views of the floor, giving both employees and visitors a place to recharge. Throughout the space, we’ve seamlessly integrated functional elements like phone rooms, team hubs, and additional conference areas, ensuring an efficient workflow. The use of wood accents and acoustic paneling helps to maintain a consistent, cohesive design while balancing aesthetics and practicality.
