A cabin in the woods. This interesting project done in collaboration with The Dome Factory was one of the first of its kind. A glamping structure built using MS base, concrete foundation, aluminum frame works and aluminum composite panels. The choice of Wooden ACP for the shell was deliberate, harmonizing the structure with the natural beauty of Keri, a quaint village in Goa. A large glass feature connects inhabitants with nature, flooding the interior with comforting natural light. The elevated dome structure, positioned on stilts to create a floating feeling, is nestled within the landscape of undulating contours and lush green foliage. Embracing the seamless connection with nature, an infinity pool wraps the exterior, providing a breathtaking view from within. At its top, a skylight welcomes the sky view and intertwines the surrounding trees into the sleeping under a starlit sky. This prefabricated modular, experimental cottage was built in its entirety in just 7 days! PS : Some amazing facts about domes we learnt along the way Domes stand out as highly efficient structures, using fewer materials, being lighter yet stronger, and capable of enduring various climates. Their 30% reduction in surface area compared to other buildings means they require 30% less energy for heating or cooling, making them more energy-efficient. Buckminster Fuller, the creator of geodesic domes, envisioned geodesic spheres that, when filled with warm air, could travel the world housing hundreds of people. These half-mile-wide spheres could float like massive airships with just a small temperature increase.
