The past is prologue.
My visual communications work at Coca-Cola provided a great foundation for my eventual and present work helping attorneys communicate complex information to judges and juries.* I'm seen here at the workstation we used at the time (~1991) to create slides (yes, the kind that needed to be developed and then placed into a carousel for viewing). The reason for this rabbit hole, is that I was taught to preserve the mark at all costs - for instance never capitalize the d in diet Coke because it would water down "Coca-Cola," the most recognized trademark in the world. Turns out the year I left, 1994, they took it back. I was so well trained it took me until this past weekend to realize "Diet Coke" is the accepted way to refer to it. https://lnkd.in/e3mvESix. I call it blasphemy. And don't get me started on the proper way to print Coca-Cola red. Diane Sanford Kim Angotta Margaret Hill Allan O'Neil Alec Arons, PCC Shaun Higgins Rebecca W.
