Over the past three decades, Dr. Warren has been an active member of our medical staff and has saved countless lives. He commented, “When a patient is on my operating room table, I take a moment to think about how I would feel if they were my wife or son or grandmother. Every patient I care for truly feels like my own family. It’s been an honor to be a part of the hospital’s remarkable growth over the past thirty years and to be a part of a team who are so committed to our community.” The new unit features: •30 all private rooms •Gym located in the unit for physical and occupational therapy after surgery •Multi-disciplinary, collaborate approach with surgeons, providers and patients all together in the same unit to coordinate post-surgery care Learn more: https://lnkd.in/eisWHgNN. 📸: Reese Moore Photography

During our Hurricane #Helene response, HCA Healthcare nurse Melissa Graham beautifully captured the heart of nursing, “You learn and remember why you wanted to be a nurse in the first place – which is to help people when they need you the most.” During this time, we’ve seen HCA Healthcare colleagues provide support in incredible ways – to our patients, the communities we serve and each other. Following the storm, colleagues from HCA Healthcare’s Summerville Medical Center in Summerville, South Carolina traveled to assist and support caregivers impacted at sister hospital Memorial Health Meadows Hospital in Vidalia, Georgia. Summerville Medical Center nurses Paolo DeDios, Melissa Graham, and Lanae Simmons were among the 28 registered nurses and three patient care technicians who answered the call to help their HCA Healthcare family without hesitation. To the hundreds of HCA Healthcare colleagues who continue to show up for each other and serve as a beacon of hope – Thank you. 💙🧡 #HCANursing #CareLikeFamily

  • Meet the Smith family! Baby boy Cameron was cared for in our Nursery after arriving 7 weeks early at 5 lbs, 6 oz. to parents Bettina and Lanard. Bettina praised the care she received as a new mom, saying, “The nurses were incredibly comforting and positive. It felt like I was at a 5-star hotel. Being away from home and family can be tough, but I wouldn’t choose any other hospital to deliver at.” For Lanard, it was a similar experience: “The staff and nurses made me feel like I wasn’t at a hospital at all—it felt like I was talking to family members.” Smith family, thank you for allowing us to care for baby Cameron!
