A Legacy of Dedication and Excellence: Roger Logel Retires from Summit Drilling After more than 16 years of exemplary service, Roger Logel is retiring from Summit Drilling, leaving behind a remarkable legacy. For more than a decade and a half, Roger has been the steady, knowledgeable hand that both colleagues and customers have come to rely on. His wealth of experience, gained from decades of drilling, has made him an invaluable resource to environmental consultants and engineers across the country. Whether it was troubleshooting complex projects or managing delicate timelines, Roger's calm and supportive presence has made a lasting impact. Roger’s career journey is a testament to his dedication and perseverance. He began as a Driller’s Helper at Empire Soils in Buffalo, NY, in 1974, advancing to Driller by 1976. When Empire Soils expanded to Edison, NJ, in 1983, Roger relocated with his family and continued to excel in his craft. Following the acquisition by Huntington International in 1990, Roger transitioned into project management by 1993, proving his versatility and leadership skills. When Huntington International dissolved in 1995, Roger took his talents to Advanced Drilling, where he worked in the field until 2008, before joining Summit Drilling. At Summit, Roger's expertise shone through once again. After drilling for three years, he transitioned to Operations Support Assistant, a role that eventually led him to become a Senior Project Manager in 2013. It is in this role that Roger made his most significant contributions, guiding countless projects to success with a rare combination of technical acumen and personal dedication. Roger’s retirement on September 27, 2024, marks the close of an impressive chapter for him at Summit Drilling. His contributions, mentorship, and unwavering support for his colleagues and clients will be deeply missed. Summit Drilling extends its heartfelt gratitude to Roger for his many years of dedicated service and wishes him the best in his well-deserved retirement. As Roger steps into this next phase of life, he looks forward to indulging in his lifelong passion for mechanics, whether it’s working on cars, machinery, or small engines. Together with his wife of 53 years, he plans to tour the United States in their motorhome, accompanied by their beloved dogs, until they find the perfect place to settle and enjoy their retirement. Thank you, Roger, for your dedication, your leadership, and the countless ways you have shaped Summit Drilling’s success. You will be truly missed, but your legacy will live on in the work you've done and the lives you've touched.

Welcoming Edward Ruger to the Summit Drilling Team! We are thrilled to introduce Edward Ruger as a new Project Manager at our Runnemede, New Jersey office. Ed joins us with a robust educational and professional background in Geology and Business Development that is perfectly suited to lead our team to new heights. Ed’s journey began at Lafayette College where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Geology. After graduation, he honed his skills as an Assistant Geoscientist at Princeton Geoscience. His quest for knowledge and leadership continued as he took on roles at Ramboll, evolving from a GeoEngineering Consultant to a Lead Consultant. During this period, Ed also pursued an MBA, which he completed in May 2024, demonstrating his dedication to blending academic excellence with practical industry experience. In his own words, Ed is eager to bring his “customer-focused perspective and solution-first attitude” to Summit Drilling, contributing to our mission of delivering comprehensive subsurface solutions. He is enthusiastic about integrating his academic background in business development with his extensive geological expertise to drive innovation and excellence within our projects. Outside the professional realm, Ed is an avid participant in martial arts and yoga, finds joy in snowboarding, and is currently renovating his house with his fiancée. Looking Forward   Ed is excited to leverage his knowledge and skills in his new role, and we are equally excited to have him on board. With over 20 years of experience in construction, project management, and health and safety oversight, Stacia brings a wealth of knowledge and a steadfast commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety at every level of our operations. A pragmatic and persistent leader with uncompromising integrity, Stacia has successfully streamlined operations and overseen risk management across a wide array of construction environments. In addition to her valuable hands-on experience, she holds both an Accounting Degree and a degree in Construction Management, along with certification as an OSHA Authorized Trainer. Her expertise spans safety and health management, site supervision, and risk management, making her an invaluable asset as we continue to grow and uphold our safety-first culture. In her new role, Stacia is excited to leverage her experience and apply it to the drilling industry to ensure Summit Drilling continues to meet the highest safety standards.
