In the spirit of our favourite time of year on social media (Spotify wrapped time), we thought we'd recap what a monumental year 2023 was for us at Sunroom! Our community is what gets us out of bed, what inspires us to keep going and what keeps us fighting with the big tech giants to keep our space, our energy and our mission safe. Having a positive impact and seeing how lives are truly changed by Sunroom is all the fuel we need. We'll never stop fighting for creators to have a safe space to show up and express themselves authentically (and get paid for it!). Here's to 2024! Team Sunroom 🌞

We were honored to partner with Adore Beauty Group in an industry first - The Pleasure Space! Designed by the exceptionally talented sexologist Selina Nguyen, the Pleasure Space quiz was developed to allow people to explore what makes them tick inside the bedroom and beyond (think Myers Briggs personality test but with more spice). A range of inspiring Sunroom creators were chosen to spearhead the campaign and became the ‘muses’ - each representing a different pleasure archetype. At Sunroom, we’re passionate about carving out safe spaces for creators to express themselves online which is why we’re so excited to be involved in this partnership. We hope it inspires you to own your identity and your autonomy as a woman or non-binary person. Most importantly we hope it inspires you to lean into a pleasure-filled life when the world tells you all the reasons why not to. You can take the quiz here! https://lnkd.in/gcauXteC A big thank you to Chelsea Healey and Annie Carroll for all your hard work bringing this to life.

This week, our Co-Founder and CMO Michelle Battersby contributed to an exciting panel at SXSW Sydney - coined Sex, Wellness and The Big Pleasure Gap. She was joined by Rachel Baker (CEO LBDO), Chelsea Healey (Brand Adore Beauty) and guided by hosting powerhouse, Flex Mami. The panel unpacked a range of societal, cultural, historical and economic issues that contribute to the pleasure gap (and other gendered gaps) - whilst inviting the 200+ male and female participants in the room to take part in the conversation. Each panelist shared such valuable and personal insights - from Rachel’s frustration of not being able to advertise her sex-positive wellness brand, to Chelsea’s reflections on marketing sexual wellness products to diverse communities in inclusive and responsive ways, plus the struggles of online censorship and community guidelines we've experienced whilst building Sunroom. It's an honour to be included as a thought leader in the tech & innovation category and to contribute at these events! Change starts with a conversation.
