Our hearts go out to the communities across the Southeast who are suffering from the widespread, unpredictable impacts of #HurricaneHelene. Below is a list of organizations on the ground providing aid to these communities. Please consider donating and sharing. Here is a list of North Carolina organizations to donate or provide resources too for #HurricaneHelene relief efforts. https://lnkd.in/eHhbUW6J Here is a list of Florida organizations that are providing relief efforts during #HurricaneHelene: https://lnkd.in/g8_H3yDj Finally, consider donating to one of our partners, the Footprint Project. This organization hits the ground in areas hit by natural disasters bringing mobile, solar-powered generators to provide life-saving power to hard-hit communities. They are now in Asheville, North Carolina, which has seen devastating impacts from #HurricaneHelene. The needs are immense.
Yesterday, our #HurricaneHelene first-in response team supported a mobile home park without power in Perry, Florida. Many folks here have electrical home health needs like CPAPs and cold storage for insulin. In partnership with Mutual Aid Disaster Relief, we deployed a battery library to ensure that these families remain safe until grid power is restored. Our team in Florida is continuing to field similar requests for power. We have another response team on the road north to flood-affected communities throughout Appalachia.
