In our latest New York issue, we also feature Anna Mercado Clark, CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPM, FIP, a business litigator at Phillips Lytle who is an expert in security, crypto and AI law. “I feel like I spend most of my time, when I’m talking about AI, calming people down,” she says. “People are very alarmed, partly because news coverage has sensationalized it a bit and also because there’s so much unknown.” https://lnkd.in/ga9TGej3

Most successful attorneys are client-focused but Ben Rubinowitz takes it to another level. “The client’s plight is everything, and if you’re not going to do it that way, don’t do it all,” he says. “That means weekends, pulling all-nighters, no holidays. It’s part of the business.” https://lnkd.in/gcCUmMcb

A 33-year-old Texas man left permanently paralyzed was awarded $59.7 million by a state jury in Beaumont, Texas. The suit said Kiet “Ricky” Tuan Do was experiencing severe neck pain on Aug. 13, 2019, when he went to a clinic, where his legs collapsed. He was transferred to Baptist Hospital in Beaumont, where the suit alleges his medical assessments were delayed. By the time a mass or bleeding was discovered on his cervical spine, it alleges, it was too late for the possibility of a healthy recovery. PI attorney Cody Dishon, with The Ferguson Law Firm in Beaumont, handled the suit against Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas and a doctor who treated Do there. https://lnkd.in/g-vNg2dC
