The mission of Commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet is to man, train, and equip the Surface Force to provide fleet commanders with credible naval power to control the sea and project power ashore. CNSP delivers and sustains the full spectrum of balanced, affordable, and resilient naval power through manpower, training, and equipment. As Commander, Naval Surface Forces (CNSF), CNSF leads Surface Warfare policy with a fleet-focused perspective and develops the professional expertise of surface warfare officers. - Permitted Content.     🔫Live-Fire Small Arms Qualification Aboard USS America (LHA 6)💥 Sailors assigned to the forward-deployed amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6) fire a M4 rifle and a M18 pistol during a gun qualification while conducting routine operations in the Philippine Sea, July 26. America, lead ship of the America Amphibious Ready Group, is operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations. U.S. 7th Fleet is the U.S. Navy’s largest forward-deployed numbered fleet, and routinely interacts and operates with allies and partners in preserving a free and open Indo-Pacific region.

    Expeditionary Strike Group 2 conducts Defense Support to Civil Authorities (DSCA) Full Mission Rehearsal❗ A Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) exits a Landing Craft Utility (LCU) during Expeditionary Strike Group TWO’s (ESG 2) Defense Support to Civil Authorities (DSCA) full mission rehearsal exercise. Designed to integrate, embark, and bring ashore Navy and Marine Corps units that would be called upon to respond to a humanitarian disaster, the three-day exercise was conducted at various locations in the Hampton Roads, Virginia, area. As the U.S. Navy’s East Coast lead for amphibious operations and expertise, the staff of ESG 2 is postured to command or support operations in five separate combatant command areas of operations across the spectrum of conflict and competition, from humanitarian assistance to high-end combat.

    ❗We are proud of our Reserve Force Surface Warrior❗ FC1 John Clements from St. Augustine, Florida, assigned to Commander Naval Surface Group Southeast DET B, was selected from a group of five finalists as fiscal year 2023’s top Reserve enlisted Sailor during a ceremony at the National Museum of the United States Navy located at the Navy Yard, Washington, DC. As a result of Clement’s selection, he will be recommended to the Chief of Naval Personnel for meritorious advancement to the rank of chief petty officer per OPNAVINST 1700.10P, Navy Sailor of the Year Program.     🌊Getting Underway with USS Spruance (DDG 111)⚓ Sailors assigned to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Spruance (DDG 111) bring in a line during a sea and anchor detail. Spruance, assigned to the Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group, is underway conducting routine operations in the U.S. 3rd Fleet area of operations. As an integral part of U.S. Pacific Fleet, U.S. 3rd Fleet operates naval forces in the Indo-Pacific in addition to providing realistic and relevant training necessary to flawlessly execute our Navy’s timeless roles of sea control and power projection. U.S. 3rd Fleet works in close coordination with other numbered fleets to provide commanders with capable, ready forces to deploy forward and win in day-to-day competition, in crisis, and in conflict.
