Krewe De Pink held their fifth annual "Death By Chocolate NOT Breast Cancer" fundraiser on July 13, 2024 which honors breast cancer survivors. The event featured chocolate inspired dishes made by local chefs with fine Belgium chocolate and was held at the Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral home in New Orleans. The annual event supports breast cancer research at the Tulane Cancer Center.

It's critical that the #SenateJudiciary recognize the significant impact insurers and #PBMs have on patient access and costs at the pharmacy counter. @SenJohnKennedy, we need to address all players in the supply chain to solve affordability and accessibility issues.

I was proud to lead a very informative panel at the Louisiana Oncology Society’s Cancer Congress on “Navigating Difficulties in Getting Reimbursed for Cancer Care” with Dr. Shantel Hebert-Magee, MD, MPH, the Chief Medical Officer for Medicaid at the Lousiana Department of Health and Frank Opelka, Deputy Commissioner of Health, Life and Annuity at Louisiana Department of Insurance. Thank you to both of these panelists for being very impressive people with lots of great information to share.
