Good morning. Here is today's #SustainableIT and #ClimateTech news for technology partners: 1. Carbon Accounting Software: Workiva's #CarbonAccounting software, based on the $100 million Sustain.Life acquisition earlier this year, is off to a fast start in the market, according to #Workiva's Q3 2024 earnings call with Wall Street analysts. We'll share more perspectives soon. 2. Financial Results - Carbon Recycling Technology: LanzaTech , a carbon recycling company, announced weak financial results for Q3 of 2024. Financial Results - EV Charger Networks: Blink Charging revenue was $25.2 million in Q3 of 2024, down 41.9% from Q3 of 2023. The company emphasized that it expects to achieve positive adjusted EBITDA in the second half of 2025. Amid the sales challenges, #BlinkCharging announced layoff plans in September 2024. The job cuts arrived ahead of a planned CEO transition. Blink Charging Chief Operating Officer Mike Battaglia will succeed President and CEO Brendan Jones on February 1, 2025, the EV charging company announced in August 2024. 4. Financial Results - Small Modular Reactors: N NuScale Power, a provider of #SMR #nuclearreactors, reported weak financial results for Q3 of 2024 but sees opportunity in the #AI #datacenter market. 5. Zaire succeeds Tim Darkes, who plans to retire in 2025. Eaton restructured in early 2024 and is seeking to make potential acquisitions, the company said at the time. Eaton, based in Dublin, Ireland, specializes in #PowerManagement solutions that improve #EnergyEfficiency and uptime in buildings, industrial facilities, data centers and homes. The company's sustainability strategy includes a heavy focus on data center solutions for partners and customers. See the entire report: https://lnkd.in/ey8dJnXe

Much of that success involves #datacenter solutions and direct sales rather than #channelpartners -- though the company has 10,000 partners. Here's a status update on the #JohnsonControls business, direct vs indirect revenue mix, and CEO search: https://lnkd.in/gc5Z84gN #AI #IoT #cloudservices #CarbonReduction #NetZero

What a #Trump victory & second presidency means for #ClimateTech and #sustainableIT startups. Bottom line: You better have a path to profitability that doesn't require government funds. Details: https://lnkd.in/eax-vy4k Nuggets of info to note: 1. Trump is expected to end U.S. participation in the #ParisAccord, which may threaten global climate initiatives. Trump in 2017 made a similar move during his first presidency, but the Biden Administration restored #ParisAgreement participation in 2021. 2. Trump wants to halt #InflationReductionAct spending -- which involves billions of dollars in Climate Tech and U.S. energy transition projects. 3. Still, some executives doubt Trump will exit the Paris Accord or end IRA spending, particularly since both efforts can create jobs in some sectors, Reuters noted. 4. #ElonMusk, a close advisor to Trump, has vowed to scrutinize and cut various federal government spending. Musk, CEO of #Tesla, #SpaceX and X (formerly Twitter), spent heavily on Trump's election campaign after feuding with the #Biden Administration on multiple fronts.
