Live Your Retirement Dream Sooner

About us

Swad Wealth Management specializes in retirement planning for people age 50+. On the surface level, I help people with their financial planning and investment management needs. But, in a way, retirement planning is kind of dumb.. At the least the way that most advisors do it right now. The idea of waiting until some arbitrary age to pursue your true passions and enjoy life while stopping all meaningful work all at the same time doesn't really make sense. That's why I'm different. I guide people through a process to help them get crystal clear on their vision of their most ideal life. We determine what might get in the way and find solutions to those things. Then, and only then, do I create a financial plan that is specific to them and has those hopes, dreams, and goals as the foundation of their plan. I want a plan that will help impact their lives for the better today while still preparing for tomorrow. People usually come to me because they feel burnt out at their jobs or business or because they are getting near retirement and are anxious about it, both for financial reasons and personal reasons such as social connections. They're successful and have grown their wealth and made a lot of good financial decisions. However, they're concerned about making a big change because of the money and because a big change can be quite daunting. At the same time, because their lives are so busy and hectic, they don't have the bandwidth or energy to figure it all out on their own. I started Swad Wealth Management because I want people to feel financially confident so they can live their most ideal lives, their "dream retirement" so to speak, sooner rather than later. Check out my eBook, "15 Retirement Planning Tips for People Age 50+," which can be downloaded for free on my website: www.swadwealth.com. I started this company after being with a Fortune 500 brokerage firm for the past almost 11 years, where I managed a practice of around $800 million.

  • Don’t just be a “Go-Getter” — be a “Go-Giver!" Sometimes people ask, “Why do you take potential clients through a two-meeting process, even if they might not work with you?” The answer is simple: I believe in giving value first. A Go-Giver is someone who achieves extraordinary results by focusing on providing value to others rather than solely pursuing their own self-interest . It’s about genuinely helping people, no strings attached. And yes, I’ve been inspired by the phenomenal book The Go-Giver by Bob Burg and John David Mann. Let me explain how our process reflects this philosophy: When someone comes to me wondering: 💭 Will I run out of money in retirement? 💭 How much can I safely spend in retirement? 💭 Am I overpaying taxes? 💭 Is my portfolio optimized for retirement? I don’t hold back information. Instead, I take them through our two-meeting Retirement Clarity Process™, which is designed to provide clarity. Whether or not they choose to work with me, they walk away with something incredibly valuable: ✨ A One-Page Plan ✨ This plan answers their biggest questions and outlines the key steps they should consider. It’s actionable, easy to understand, and helps them feel confident about their future. Here’s how I see it: Giving value first is like planting seeds in a garden. 🌱 You invest time and energy into creating something meaningful, and eventually, it grows into something wonderful. You can’t expect a bountiful harvest if you aren’t willing to sow the seeds of trust and generosity first. You know what’s amazing? The majority of people who go through this process decide to work with me. But even if they don’t, I get to walk away knowing I made a difference. I helped someone gain clarity about their retirement and financial future. Focus on planting seeds, not just reaping the rewards. 🌱 Share your knowledge freely. Educate and empower people. Because when you give value first, you stand out. People see that you genuinely care about them, not just their account balances. Are you ready to gain clarity and confidence about your retirement? • I asked ChatGPT: "Based on everything you know about me, create an image of what you think my office looks like" The first image was what it came up with. The second image with the couch was me giving it one more line of information to refine the image. Pretty interesting! The colors are on brand and both look great. If you were a client, which one would you rather visit? Thanks @James Pollard for the great ChatGPT prompt!

  • We all know that life is full of surprises—some wonderful, like finding a hidden treasure, and others, not so much. Unfortunately, certain unexpected challenges can disrupt even the best-laid retirement plans. I recently contributed to an article for AARP that focuses on five major obstacles that could potentially derail your retirement and how to address them. In the article, I shared some important insights on how to protect your retirement plans when faced with challenges like job loss or divorce: Losing Your Job: Over half of older U.S. workers experience job loss before they plan to retire. One of my key suggestions was to use budgeting tools like YNAB, Monarch Money, or Rocket Money to cut non-essential expenses and stay on top of your financial situation during such transitions. It's also important to use resources like severance and unemployment benefits before dipping into your emergency fund, taking only what you need, and keeping track to replenish it later. Divorce: Divorce rates among older Americans have surged, which can not only be emotionally devastating but financially devastating as well. I emphasized the importance of working with a divorce attorney and a certified divorce financial analyst (CDFA) to ensure an equitable division of assets. After the settlement, it’s crucial to reevaluate your retirement goals and possibly increase your retirement contributions. The article also highlights other unexpected challenges, such as health crises, caregiving responsibilities, and providing financial assistance to adult children—all of which could impact your retirement savings. To read the full article and get more insights from experts, check it out on AARP's website. It's called "5 Surprises That Could Derail Your Retirement Plans" Remember, the key to staying on track is proactive planning and understanding how to navigate these potential setbacks.

  • Are your investments serving you, or are you serving your investments? 🤔 In the quest to maximize returns, it’s easy to get lost in the details. But when your financial pursuits start to take up more of your time and energy than they’re worth, it’s time to reconsider your strategy. Maybe you’re managing a rental property that eats up your weekends with maintenance and tenant issues. Or perhaps you’re constantly checking the stock market, letting every dip and rise affect your mood. Some even reinvest every dollar back into their business, working late nights and missing out on life’s precious moments. Remember, your investments should support your life—not take it over. It’s all about balance. Don’t let the pursuit of wealth steal your joy. #FinancialFreedom #WealthManagement #BalancedLife #InvestmentStrategy #LifePlanning

  • We all make excuses about why we can't get things done—'I don't have enough time' is probably the most common. But the truth is, we all have the same 24 hours. It's not about finding time; it's about prioritizing it. Here are a few tips: -Identify Your Priorities: Focus on what truly matters to you. If it's not a priority, it's just a distraction 🎯. -Plan Your Day: Break your day into blocks of time dedicated to specific tasks. This helps prevent procrastination and ensures you're using your time effectively 📅. -Eliminate Time Wasters: Social media, TV, and other distractions can eat away at your time. Be mindful of how much time you're spending on these activities 🚫📱. -Learn to Say No: You can't do everything. Saying no to less important tasks frees up time for what really matters 🙅♂️. Time is your most valuable asset—don't let excuses rob you of it. #TimeManagement #NoExcuses #PrioritizeYourTime"
