Live Your Retirement Dream Sooner

About us

Swad Wealth Management specializes in retirement planning for people age 50+. On the surface level, I help people with their financial planning and investment management needs. But, in a way, retirement planning is kind of dumb.. At the least the way that most advisors do it right now. The idea of waiting until some arbitrary age to pursue your true passions and enjoy life while stopping all meaningful work all at the same time doesn't really make sense. That's why I'm different. I guide people through a process to help them get crystal clear on their vision of their most ideal life. We determine what might get in the way and find solutions to those things. Then, and only then, do I create a financial plan that is specific to them and has those hopes, dreams, and goals as the foundation of their plan. I want a plan that will help impact their lives for the better today while still preparing for tomorrow. People usually come to me because they feel burnt out at their jobs or business or because they are getting near retirement and are anxious about it, both for financial reasons and personal reasons such as social connections. They're successful and have grown their wealth and made a lot of good financial decisions. However, they're concerned about making a big change because of the money and because a big change can be quite daunting. At the same time, because their lives are so busy and hectic, they don't have the bandwidth or energy to figure it all out on their own. I started Swad Wealth Management because I want people to feel financially confident so they can live their most ideal lives, their "dream retirement" so to speak, sooner rather than later. Check out my eBook, "15 Retirement Planning Tips for People Age 50+," which can be downloaded for free on my website: www.swadwealth.com. I started this company after being with a Fortune 500 brokerage firm for the past almost 11 years, where I managed a practice of around $800 million.

Are your investments serving you, or are you serving your investments? 🤔 In the quest to maximize returns, it’s easy to get lost in the details. But when your financial pursuits start to take up more of your time and energy than they’re worth, it’s time to reconsider your strategy. Maybe you’re managing a rental property that eats up your weekends with maintenance and tenant issues. Or perhaps you’re constantly checking the stock market, letting every dip and rise affect your mood. Some even reinvest every dollar back into their business, working late nights and missing out on life’s precious moments. Remember, your investments should support your life—not take it over. It’s all about balance. Don’t let the pursuit of wealth steal your joy. #FinancialFreedom #WealthManagement #BalancedLife #InvestmentStrategy #LifePlanning

We all make excuses about why we can't get things done—'I don't have enough time' is probably the most common. But the truth is, we all have the same 24 hours. It's not about finding time; it's about prioritizing it. Here are a few tips: -Identify Your Priorities: Focus on what truly matters to you. If it's not a priority, it's just a distraction 🎯. -Plan Your Day: Break your day into blocks of time dedicated to specific tasks. This helps prevent procrastination and ensures you're using your time effectively 📅. -Eliminate Time Wasters: Social media, TV, and other distractions can eat away at your time. Be mindful of how much time you're spending on these activities 🚫📱. -Learn to Say No: You can't do everything. Saying no to less important tasks frees up time for what really matters 🙅♂️. Time is your most valuable asset—don't let excuses rob you of it. #TimeManagement #NoExcuses #PrioritizeYourTime"

"Once you learn how to die, you learn how to live..." In the book, "Tuesdays with Morrie," Morrie Schwartz was faced with ALS, often referred to as Lou Gehrig's disease. As his body was degenerating, Morrie emphasized the importance of acknowledging the reality of death and using that understanding to prioritize what truly matters in life. Often times, these are matters of love, relationships, connection, and personal growth. It might mean making an impact on others. While I never want to see anyone have to face something like ALS, like Morrie did, I hope you are doing all you can to live your most fulfilled life. It's why I ask three important questions to each of my clients so we can unearth everything important to them and then prioritize those elements. About 70% of the time, the third question is where people really get clear. And while the question is simple, it's not always the easiest to answer. So what is the third question? "The doctor shocks you with the news that you only have one day left to live. Notice what feelings arise as you front your very real mortality... Ask yourself: -What did I miss? -What did I not get to be? -What did I not get to do?" If you want to learn about the other two questions and exercises you can do to help plan for your future, check out 15 Retirement Planning Tips for People Age 50+. Rent is the MAXIMUM you'll pay... Your mortgage is the MINIMUM you'll pay. Does that mean you shouldn't buy a home? No. BUT, so many people discount how much home ownership really costs. Maintenance... Repairs... Landscaping... Painting... New Roof... New Dishwasher... New Furnace... The list goes on and on. You also have to consider your time. How much is it worth? Because, as a homeowner, YOU will be the one responsible for all of these things, which means you have to call the plumber (or fix the toilet yourself), etc. AND, home ownership can limit your flexibility. For example, if you are looking to advance your career and your income potential, having the ability to move can greatly increase your chances of that. If you own a home, you might be stuck there for quite some time as it can cost a lot to sell and if the housing market collapses, it can take many years for it to recover. Now, there are a lot of nice things about owning home, but don't buy a home just because you think it's a good "investment." Do the math and think about it as it applies to your personal situation and goals. #homeownership #investing #wealthmanagement

Many of us won't experience a near-death experience that shocks us into realizing our true priorities. Many of us will continue to grind and keep ourselves "so busy" that we won't escape the day-to-day to see the big picture. Last week, I talked about Morrie from the book "Tuesdays with Morrie" where Morrie shares his wisdom, while facing death, to help us lead more fulfilled lives. While I never want to see you or anyone have to face something like ALS, like Morrie did, I hope you are doing all you can to live your most fulfilled life. So, without intentionally putting ourselves in a near-death experience, how do we gain clarity over each of our individual priorities? Enter - THE THREE QUESTIONS About 70% of the time, the third question is where people really get clear. And while the question is simple, it's not always the easiest to answer. So what is the third question? "The doctor shocks you with the news that you only have one day left to live. Notice what feelings arise as you front your very real mortality... Ask yourself: -What did I miss? -What did I not get to be? -What did I not get to do?" This question isn't about what you would do over the next 24 hours... It's about understanding your feelings, which as Morrie tells us can lead to a richer life. Morrie emphasized several topics. He believed that love and relationships are the most important things in life. He talks about how understanding and accepting death can help people live more meaningful and fulfilled lives. After all, if you've ever had a near death experience or if a very close loved one died, it may have shined a light on what is most important to you. Morrie goes on to talk about Work & Ambition (one of my core values). Morrie acknowledges the importance of meaningful work but advises against allowing it to overshadow other aspects of your life, such as family and personal well-being. Ultimately, Morrie critiques societies obsession with wealth and material success. He argues that true happiness comes from love, relationships, and meaningful experiences instead of possessions. Do you agree with Morrie? #lifeplanning #RLP #truewealthmanagement
