Did you know? DePaul’s new Pan American Apartments are being built on the former North Buffalo rail line. Once complete, this 174,000-square-foot complex will feature 150 units. The apartment complex will offer a mix of studio, one, and two-bedroom units. We have been a leader in laser research for decades, and our faculty are advancing critical technologies. This new facility will house one of the most powerful lasers in the world and establishes CSU as a nexus for laser fusion research.” – CSU President Amy Parsons   Yesterday, we celebrated the groundbreaking of our newly named ATLAS Facility (Advanced Technology Lasers for Applications and Science), alongside distinguished speakers, including Geraldine Richmond, U.S. Department of Energy (DOE)’s Under Secretary for Science and Innovation, U.S. Rep. Joe Neguse, and Marvel Fusion CEO Moritz von der Linden.   Construction will start this month on the ATLAS Facility located on our Foothills Campus. Set to come online in mid-2026, the facility is the result of 40 years of laser development research at CSU in partnership with the U.S. Department of Energy’s Fusion Energy Sciences program in the Office of Science and a strategic $150 million public-private partnership with industry leader Marvel Fusion. Commissioner Visnauskas today announced the completion of Steamboat 20, one of four towers located at Steamboat Square in the city of Albany and the first phase in the revitalization of the entire public housing complex. The $42 million rehabilitation preserves 51 existing apartments and adds 37 new apartments, including 14 with supportive services for a total of 88 modern, highly energy-efficient homes. Today we announced completion of Johnson Park Green Community Apartments, 62 new apartments and a community center in #Utica.
