DID YOU KNOW: about half of all retail sales come from a mobile device (and Forbes predicts we will be at 67% by 2027)!?
We found that out and more👇 ✅ 💓 🛒
The Columbus eCommerce Summit 2024 afternoon was filled with valuable insights from leading retailers 🚀
We kicked off with strategies for streamlining operations & supply chain. The big questions to be answered are:
Is packaging REALLY worth the investment? And should backorders be a thing (if TAYLOR SWIFT makes you sell out like HOMAGE 👀 )!?
The panel kicked off by discussing how companies are overcoming recent supply chain challenges using data analytics, automation, and software solutions to optimize inventory management, demand forecasting, and last-mile delivery 📦 Moderated by Joseph Maxwell (President) of SwiftOtter, this session featured insights from Anthony Dorsey (SVP of Operations) at HOMAGE; Jeff Girard (SVP of Distribution & Logistics) at Designer Brands; Rob Snowden (Senior Director of Supply Chain) at Caraway Home; and Roy Burton (Director of eCommerce Supply Chain) at The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company.
The best way to target your customers is understanding where your customers are - email & SMS, Youtube channel, TikTok - and encouraging interactions, like comments, from loyalists 🛍 Daniel Backhaus (Senior Client Executive) at NULogic, explored the critical role of data in eCommerce success with panelists Eric Peck (VP of Business Intelligence & Analytics) at The Sak; Lindsey Speyer (Senior Manager of eCommerce) at the Cleveland Cavaliers; Prakash Hariharabalan (Senior Director of Marketing Analytics) at Signet Jewelers; Wesley Banks (Director of Acquisition) at Paula's Choice Skincare; and Zach Lillich (Head of Growth) at Stix Golf Co. Together, they discussed ethical data collection and engagement practices.
The latest trends and strategies for engaging customers across all channels were explored, emphasizing the importance of personalized customer experiences and cohesive brand strategy both online and offline 🤲 We concluded the day with Omnichannel, Social, & Digital Marketing panel - Moderated by Ali Hanyaloglu (VP of Product Marketing) at Amplience, the panel included Jennifer Fenton (Senior Director of Marketing) at JOLYN; Michael Reda (Head of eCommerce, Digital, Design & Insights) at T. Marzetti Company; Ryan Sanecki (Senior Manager of Digital Marketing) at BIBIBOP Asian Grill; Tony Fung (Director of Shopper Marketing & eCommerce) at Bob Evans Farms, Inc.; and Vicki Lapka Beswick (VP of Marketing) at Sbarro. These marketing leaders gathered to discuss the current landscape of digital marketing including mobile, loyalty programs, discounting, measuring, and challenges with data.
