Championed by one of our amazing Project Managers Murphy Dutcher, MBA Dutcher, Swinerton’s Charlotte office has been gathering supplies at our office to support our neighbors in Western North Carolina that continue to be affected by the devastation of Hurricane Helene. Three Swinerton truckloads of supplies were taken to the Statesville Airport last Friday and Saturday and all donated items were air lifted to western airports or transported via trucks to impacted areas. Thanks to amazing partners like Lithko Contracting and the generosity of our team members, we have gathered almost $4,000 of much needed supplies and have worked alongside the Carolina Aviators Network to get these supplies directly in the hands of community members. But there is still much more needed! Swinerton transformed Carolina Charter Academy with a vibrant two-story addition that accommodated the eighth-grade expansion. The addition included 16 classrooms, restrooms, and administrative offices. Additionally, a state-of-the-art gymnasium featuring basketball and volleyball courts was constructed, while outdoor improvements included a full-size soccer field and enhanced carpool lanes. This project exemplified the effectiveness of the design-build approach, showcasing how collaboration and innovation lead to exceptional educational spaces. We’re excited to lead the construction of a new 190,000-square-foot mixed-use development in the heart of Austin! This four-story building will feature a mass timber structural system, offer collaborative office spaces, 1,600 square feet of retail, and a 5,800-square-foot restaurant, and include a 31,000-square-foot parking structure with 108 stalls spread across one level below and one above grade.
