✨ Monday Morning Motivation ✨ Is anyone else procrastinating this morning? Or just me? "If you want to make an easy job seem mighty hard, just keep putting off doing it." We ADHD'ers are well known for procrastinating until it's deadline time, then it's all systems go! But what if life didn't have to be like that? We all develop personalised strategies to manage our time, tasks and to-do's to support our executive functioning. I am a list and calendar person, but sometimes know that I just need to get on and do it! Calm shared this great blog on "How to stop procrastinating: 9 tips for focus and productivity" and their 2-minute rule suggestion really resonated with me! 💻 - https://lnkd.in/enkqGSKc The 2-minute rule of procrastination is a productivity technique suggesting that if a task takes less than 2 minutes to complete, you should do it immediately rather than putting it off. This helps prevent small tasks from piling up and becoming overwhelming. Here's how it works: ⭐ Identify tasks: Look for small, quick tasks that you keep putting off. These might be things like answering an email, making a phone calls, or filing paperwork. ⭐ Take action: If a task takes less than 2 minutes to complete, do it right away. Don't put it on your to-do list or wait for a better time. ⭐ Repeat: Continue to identify and complete small tasks using the 2-minute rule throughout your day. By consistently applying the 2-minute rule, you can reduce procrastination and increase your productivity, giving you the time and space to focus on larger, more important tasks. So.... Which 2-minute task are you doing first? Tell us when you have done it! (PS - commenting on this post doesn't count 😉) #procrastination #adhd #autism #neurodiversity #motivation #MondayMorning #productivity #calm

✨ If we can challenge convention, we can solve any problem ✨ Josh Valman #Neurodiverse individuals are often natural #innovators, bringing fresh perspectives that can alter traditional mindsets. As a neurodivergent entrepreneur, your ability to think differently is a powerful asset, helping you to push boundaries and create transformative solutions. For many neurodivergent founders, the motivation to succeed comes from a deep desire to navigate their own journey, break down barriers, and redefine success. By embracing your unique strengths—whether it's creative problem-solving, risk-taking, or resilience— you can challenge conventional thinking and transform workplaces. It’s so important for us to celebrate diverse ways of thinking and empower more people to challenge convention. It's through these new perspectives that we find the most innovative solutions! 🌟 #Entrepreneurship #Neurodiversity #Innovation #ChallengeConvention #Motivation #ThinkDifferent #DiversityAndInclusion

✨ Success begins with believing in yourself! ✨ Last week, we posted about workplace fears and received some replies from people who we KNOW are amazing, who shared their fears of Imposter Syndrome. Imposter syndrome is the persistent feelings of self-doubt, the fear of not being good enough and the anxiety of potentially being exposed as a fraud. Some of the signs of Imposter Syndrome are: ▶ Self-doubt: Constant questioning of your abilities. ▶ Being a Perfectionist: The need for flawless work with no mistakes, often leading to anxiety about making errors. ▶ Fear of failure: Avoiding challenges due to fear of being exposed. ▶ Undermining your accomplishments: Attributing all your success to luck rather than your fantastic skills. ▶ Overworking: Overcompensation to avoid being seen as not good enough. Some suggestions on how to manage and overcome Imposter Syndrome are: ✔ Acknowledge your achievements: Celebrate your successes, and recognise your skills and abilities! ✔ Positive self-talk: Replace your negative thoughts with positive affirmations. ✔ Seek support: Talk to friends, mentors, or coaches about your feelings. ✔ Set realistic goals: Aim for achievable outcomes and celebrate when you reach them! The link between Neurodiversity and Imposter Syndrome has been explored by psychologists, coaches and neurodiversity specialists. This article by Sharon Saline, Psy.D. in Psychology Today discusses the connection between ADHD and imposter syndrome and offers strategies to stop doubting yourself and start believing instead! https://lnkd.in/eZVKhs55 Please believe in yourself and recognise the value you bring—what you contribute is so important! To anyone else feeling like an imposter at work, YOU ARE AMAZING! #adhd #neurodiversity #iImposterSyndrome #BelieveInYourself #MondayMotivation

✨ Monday Morning Motivation Time ✨ Fear is a strange old feeling, isn't it? What it does to your body... How it feels in your head... Different people fear different things. Personally, for me at work, standing and presenting is one of my major fears. That doesn't mean I don't stand up and present, BUT I have to: 🌬 Use my slow calming breathing 💭 Activate my positive self-talk, to replace my ADHD-powered negative whirling thoughts 📑 Remind myself that I am practised and prepared! ⏱ Remember it's not a race to the end & take a breath Then just go do it and hope for the best! As per this fabulous quote by Arianna Huffington, being brave is not about not being scared, it's about overcoming your fear and doing it anyway! Share with us in the comments: ❓ What are your workplace fears? ❓ What do you do to overcome it? #fearless #adhd #autism #Neurodiversity #Support #Motivation #Monday

💡 Five Ways to Make YOUR Routine Work with YOUR Brain 🧠 1. If it works, work with it. It doesn’t matter if that’s the way it’s normally done or not! For example, if you function best with a mid-afternoon shower, have your mid-afternoon shower. 2. Create menus. If you find to do lists or regimented schedules stressful, creating task (or dopamine) menus instead can be a game-changer. Giving yourself choices can reduce feelings of stress, overwhelm, and frustration. 3. Be realistic. Being realistic means setting achievable goals and giving yourself opportunities to succeed instead of setting yourself up to fail. If you set small, achievable goals, the momentum of achievement will carry you towards those bigger, loftier goals. 4. Abandon shame. Shame has its place, but it’s not a motivating factor behind success. Leave it for real mistakes. 5. Be gentle. Are you off task? No need to panic! Kindly lead yourself back on track. This is something I’ve learned and practiced in meditation, but it serves me so well in everyday life. How do YOU make YOUR routine work with YOUR brain? Share in the comments so we can lift each other up! 💪 #actuallyautistic #entrepreneur #autisticentrepreneur #adhdentrepreneur #adhdbusiness #goalsetter #onlinebusinessmanager #virtualassistant #productivity #neurodivergent #neuroaffirming

We’re big fans of @asana here! One of our OBMs breaks it down below 👇 Asana can be utilised in various ways depending on the needs of individuals or organisations. One particularly useful feature of Asana is the ability to set deadlines, which the platform can then remind you about via email and on the Home page. This can be especially beneficial for neurodivergent individuals, as it saves time by eliminating the need to manually add reminders to a calendar or diary. Communication within Asana is also highly efficient. Instead of drafting progress update emails or holding progress meetings, users can comment directly on each task or project. Additionally, using Asana in conjunction with the likes of Google Sheets and Docs can further enhance efficiency. By linking these documents within Asana, all team members have access (depending on permission settings), allowing them to view progress in real-time and collaborate simultaneously. This integration significantly reduces the need for emailing documents back and forth, saving valuable time. #neurodivergent #neuroaffirming #actuallyautistic #adhd #onlinebusinessmanager #virtualassistant #productivity #productivityhacks #obm #asana
