🌱 Discover the SylPlant Value Chain! 🤝 The SylPlant project brings together a consortium of 17 partners, spanning the entire food and feed value chain from feedstock manufacturers to consumers. 🏭 Launched successfully last year, the project is now gearing up for the next phase. Over the next few years, we will build and operate a first of its kind factory to produce 10 000 tons of protein-rich ingredients suitable for food and feed applications. 🎯 The project's applications span various markets, including food, pet food, and aquafeed, making it a game-changer across multiple sectors. 🔔 The SylPlant project was present last week at the EUBCE - European Biomass Conference & Exhibition in Marseille 🌱 It is an event that addresses the balance between sustainability and economic performance of the whole chain of biomass utilization. This conference covers all aspects of biomass, from resources, research, innovation, deployment to policies. 🧪 🤝 Charles-Henri Nicolas, project director at our coordinator Arbiom was present as well as Nils Rettenmaier, LCA expert from our partner ifeu - Institut für Energie- und Umweltforschung Heidelberg gGmbH . 💬 Charles-Henri Nicolas gave a presentation on “Yeast fermentation from various biomass feedstocks to produce protein-rich ingredients”. 🔎 Nils Rettenmaier from IFEU gave a presentation named “Unconventional product applications: big but often neglected levers for sustainability and success”. 🔔 The SylPlant project was showcased last week in a webinar on biomanufacturing ➡️ On Friday 21st, June our partner Bioeconomy For Change, organized a webinar on “biomanufacturing: success stories & tools”. It focused on fermentation and biorefineries. 🏭 👀 Among other projects, SylPlant was showcased as a success story by Charles-Henri Nicolas, project director at Arbiom. He recalled the history of scaling up Yusto and SylPro, as well as the applications they developed alongside consortium partners.. 💪✅ 👉Charles-Henri Nicolas emphasized the need to establish strong partnerships across the entire value chain.
