SYMPHONY EMPLOYEES MAKING A DIFFERENCE: MARY BETH ONG Mary Beth, who recently celebrated 25 years with Symphony Financial, is effervescent when she talks about her volunteer work with Kiwanis International. “I’m passionate about supporting children in my local community (McHenry County, IL) and worldwide. Initially, I joined to represent Symphony, but I quickly found a deeper personal connection with the mission of helping kids in need.” From providing scholarships to assisting families in crisis, events like the recent Duck Derby, raise vital funds for programs like Kids in Need. “It’s incredibly fulfilling to see how our efforts make a real difference in the lives of children.” For the 2024 Duck Derby, 1500 participants bought rubber ducks for $5. Mary Beth and others, paddling in kayaks, pushed the ducks down the river to the finish line. When asked how her volunteer work impacts Symphony's overall mission or influences her personal or professional growth. “It follows so much of my own core values, much like our organization. It's about giving back. It's about moving things forward to help other people, just like we do ourselves here in our firm. It's doing the next right thing.” #Kiwanis #givingback #volunteer
