Read the entire SOC ISSUE of our #infosec zine -- PROMPT# -- for free here on LinkedIn. We're working on a new issue of PROMPT# to be published in 2025.
Nice! I've always believed Wireshark is one of those tools you should learn as soon as possible. Doesn't matter if you're a network engineer or an ethical hacker, this software is a must! #wireshark #learn #filters
Useful Wireshark Filters for SOC Teams
Today we're going to show you a cool little open source project called docker-volume-backup. It does exactly what you think! It backs up your Docker Volume to another machine, SaaS or maybe just to another folder on your server. Lots of options, but also easy to get started. If you're not backing up your stuff, that's just crazy! Do something about it! :) #backup #docker #portainer #volumes #opensource #selfhosted #dropbox #ssh #local #ondemand https://lnkd.in/eHhjW-G8
Chris Greer is an amazing teacher and Wireshark is an amazing product! Combine the two and you've got no excuse not to learn this valuable tool! #networking #networks #wireshark
Hey packet people - sometimes the hardest thing about packet analysis is just getting started. This is a short video about how to keep it simple. Keep on learning and adding to your skills, don't get overwhelmed! https://lnkd.in/ePUrVn3B
Do you have trust issues with password managers? Ever since Lastpass went through it's 'issues', password managers have been taking heat. A few months ago we showed our subscribers how to host your own Bitwarden server alternative.. VaultWarden. It uses the bitwarden client but you host everything on a server you control. Small password servers are a much less tempting target than a big one with millions of passwords.. Something to think about! https://lnkd.in/e8ZsyYcc #bitwarden #vaultwarden #passwords #passwordmanager #selfhosting #diy #vps #homelab #opensource https://lnkd.in/d9KaVqa4
You've heard the stories, now see how someone lost serious cash from a QR code on a parking sign.
QR codes have become a popular, convenient way to make payments, but they also open the door to scams. This was seen in a recent incident where someone lost €1,000 after scanning a QR code for parking, which redirected to a fraudulent payment page. Scammers can easily place fake QR codes over legitimate ones, tricking users into entering sensitive information or making unauthorized payments. It is advisable to always double-check the URL after scanning; if it appears suspicious, do not proceed. Shared by: https://lnkd.in/eeEwFbsj #qrcodes #quishing
