We are thrilled to announce the recipients of the 2024/25 SYNC Athlete Fund. Established in 2019, the SYNC Athlete Fund is dedicated to eliminating financial barriers for athletes striving to reach the pinnacle of ski racing. Our mission is to foster a brighter future for the sport by inspiring, empowering, and supporting the next generation of ski racers. In its sixth year, the SYNC Athlete Fund committee has awarded $75,000 in grants to 37 deserving athletes. These grants will help them pursue their dreams of excelling in ski racing and achieving their athletic goals. The selection process focused on each athlete's financial need, quality of application responses, results, and letters of recommendation. The selected athletes align closely with the SYNC Athlete Fund mission and will significantly benefit from this support. Congratulations to these hardworking athletes!

Sometimes the biggest battles happen before you even push out of the gate. SYNC athlete Eleri Smart shares some tips on what gets her ready to race: “I make sure I do a really good physical warm-up at the start with some specific exercises to my skiing. I visualize the course once when I first get to the start then again after watching a couple of people go. And my last thing is I take a couple of deep breaths in and out when I’m right in the start gate”
