About us

SYNCLUSIVE is an innovative, integrated, and interdisciplinary systemic approach to stimulate the inclusion of vulnerable groups in the labor market. To achieve this, the project aims to develop and consolidate a coalition of stakeholders in 4 regional Living Labs across Europe under the Community Coalition Theory, using the ENGINE approach, while testing this approach to different vulnerable groups identified as discriminated against. We also aim to identify drivers and barriers for mobility and inflow, including discrimination, against vulnerable groups and assess the impact of the implemented ENGINE approach on labor market mobility and inclusion of vulnerable groups. Another one of our main goals is to identify the transition paths from regional to national and European political levels and the interoperable and comparative indicators and standards relevant for the labor market inclusion of vulnerable groups, taking into account the different contexts.     👩 Women face many challenges when trying to get or keep a job. One is taking care of family or relatives which takes a lot of time and effort. That's why in #SYNCLUSIVE we work towards ensuring that everyone has the same opportunities in the #labourmarket! 💼 🛠

    Unpaid care work keeps millions of women out of the labour force. According to the latest ILO estimates, 708 million women worldwide are unable to participate in paid employment due to care responsibilities—compared to 40 million men.     🚀 "Career Opportunities for People 50+" launched on Oct 25 at SofiaLab! This new initiative by Sofia Development Association & Young Talents Bulgaria aims to #empower people 50+ with targeted #training 📚 , #career 💼 , and psychological support🧠. 🔗"We need to connect institutions, people and employers in order to fully exploit the potential of this group, " said Ekaterina Yordanova, Chair of the Board of Sofia Development Association. ✨"The goal is that by 2030, age will not be a barrier to the labour market", added George Parvanov from Young Talents Bulgaria. 💼 Smilen Valov, Executive Director of the Employment Agency, noted that the agency offers numerous tools to support the employment of people aged 50+. 👏"People over 50 are the future of the labor market. This group has discipline and experience, making them highly desirable to employers," he said. 🎯 The event attracted the attention of representatives of business and government institutions who shared their support for the initiative and signed a coalition to join efforts in making progress in the labour market. 🤝📈 #SYNCLUSIVE #YoungTalentsBulgaria #Labourmarket #Career #Employment

    ✨ Taite-coaching is the latest Finnish adaptation of the JOBS© peer group method that effectively strengthens the #job-seeking skills and mental well-being of the unemployed. ✨ Taite-coaching aims to strengthen employment in the open labour market and reduce unemployment's harmful effects on self-confidence and self-efficacy.     💼 The Integrative Behavior Model (IBM) and the Labour Market: More Than Just Intention 💼 The IBM reminds us of a key truth: wanting to work and being able to work are two different things. 👉 Wanting to work = Intention, shaped by attitudes, self-belief, and social pressure. 👉 Being able to work = Skills, self-regulation, and external factors (Blonk, 2018). Unfortunately, many vulnerable individuals face major barriers—from lack of resources to systemic exclusion—that keep them from entering the workforce, despite their intention. 🚀 This is where our SYNCLUSIVE project steps in. Four Living Labs from all across Europe are putting collective efforts into bridging this gap by: 🔑 Empowering vulnerable groups to upskill and access job opportunities. 🔑 Reshaping environments to foster inclusion, so everyone who wants to work can work. #Inclusion #LabourMarket #SYNCLUSIVE #JobOpportunities #Upskilling #IBM #Diversity #WorkForAll

    📢 Last Thursday, Vince Pelzer, a member of our Dutch team, had the opportunity to present SYNCLUSIVE at the Dutch Labour Market Day conference! 🎤 He introduced the project's core objectives, highlighting the importance of the ENGINE and the coalition in promoting labor market inclusion. 🌍 It also explored how Realist Evaluation is key to understanding complex interventions like SYNCLUSIVE, helping us assess not just what works, but how and why in different contexts. 🧐 Using insights from the Dutch Living Lab, he shared how Amersfoort Living Lab has identified critical contexts and mechanisms that support employees' training and development. 🚀 Moreover, Pelzer unveiled the initial results from the recent evaluation of the job seekers program in The Netherlands. 📊 We are excited about what's next in fostering inclusion in the labor market, aren't you also? 💼✨ #SYNCLUSIVE #LabourMarketDay #RealistEvaluation #Inclusion #DutchLivingLab #EmployeeDevelopment #JobSeekers Photo credit: Vince Pelzer

    🔍 A solid needs analysis is key to designing effective interventions that truly address the challenges faced by individuals in the workplace. In the Amersfoort Living Lab of the SYNCLUSIVE project, we’ve taken this process seriously by conducting in-depth interviews with 12 supervisors and holding a focus group to gain a thorough understanding of the needs surrounding training and development. 👥 These conversations provided us with valuable insights into the specific barriers that exist for employees that need addressing to foster their inclusion and upward mobility.
