Agriculture is evolving, and so are the ways we produce food. Together with farmers, researchers, and innovators, we’re not just treating seeds—we’re reimagining how food is produced. With sustainable seed treatments, we’re helping farmers face the complexities of today’s world: climate change, soil degradation, and the need for higher yields with lower impact. Modern agriculture requires collaboration, innovation, and bold thinking. By working together, we can create the tools that will move agriculture forward—enhancing productivity while regenerating nature. Join us at Euroseeds 2024 and meet our experts to know more about our science-based innovations!
About us
Our story began in the 1980s with a distinctive value: the incessant search for innovation, while respecting nature and ethics. These are the qualities that enabled our legacy company, Valagro, to successfully establish in the Italian market. During the 1990s, a focus on innovation and customers allowed Valagro to launch further into the European market and affirm its presence in China, South America, and the US. In October 2020, Syngenta acquired Valagro, an investment made based on a shared foundation of science-based innovation. Following the acquisition, both companies have worked together closely in service of farmers everywhere, sharing knowledge and leveraging capabilities crucial for a world-leading biologicals business. In July 2023, Syngenta and Valagro announced the new corporate brand for our expanding biologicals business: Syngenta Biologicals, marking an exciting time in our history. Syngenta Biologicals formalizes our one-team approach in the markets, giving us a single and market-leading identity. At the heart of it all is our people, working towards the purpose of helping farmers improve productivity, while creating a sustainable future for people and nature.

Regenerating soil and nature is one of our Syngenta Sustainability Priorities, and supporting regenerative agriculture is not only a matter of agronomic practices: our portfolio plays an important part in this, and biologicals solutions are at the forefront. After the first five handbooks launched in 2023, we are happy to present two new guides on EPIVIO™ Energy, our biological seed treatment aimed at supporting crop establishment, and VIXERAN®, our microorganism-based nutrient use efficiency solution that helps crops optimize the use of nitrogen. The Biologicals and Regenerative Agriculture handbooks give a science-based connection between biologicals and regenerative agriculture outcomes and display data from our field trials and research, which are also graspable for a non-technical audience. The SAA Congress has started! Our team in Argentina is attending the event to explain how biologicals, above and below the ground, help growers manage pests and disease, address abiotic stress, enhance soil health, and boost crop yields while reducing environmental impact. Focusing on our innovations, they are also presenting VICTRATO® seed treatment, containing TYMIRIUM® technology, which offers comprehensive protection for key crops during their critical moment, from seeds to young plants, moreover valuable support for regenerative agricultural practices being a building block for sustainable soil health management. Meeting the needs of farmers and helping them produce more, sustainably, requires innovation and partnership. Today we are delighted to announce a new collaboration with Provivi, Inc.® to bring new pheromone-based biological solutions to help manage devastating pests in corn and rice in key countries in Asia. This collaboration will see two new pheromone solutions aimed at helping farmers manage the devastating pests, Yellow Stem Borer (YSB) in India and Indonesia and Fall Armyworm (FAW) in Thailand. The YSB and FAW pests stand out as among the most destructive insect pests in agriculture, threatening a wide variety of crops in many countries, impacting farmers’ livelihoods, as well as global food security. This new pheromone partnership with Provivi is in line with Syngenta’s sustainability priorities, which include accelerating crop productivity while reducing the impact on the planet, through more sustainable technologies. The YSB Eco-Dispenser for India and Indonesia, and the FAW Eco-Granules for Thailand will be available for farmers from 2026. Find out more:https://lnkd.in/d4abSwWk
