    Walk The Talk: The idiom signifies the importance of aligning actions with words. It conveys the value of consistency, integrity, and sincerity, suggesting the necessity to live according to what once professes. We hear discussions about employer brand all the time – but let’s be realistic, most people are making a decision for their next career move based on their experiences. The brand (the talk) may have resulted in their resume reaching your inbox, but it is the candidate's experience (the walk) that will convince them to join your organization. This begins with the recruiting process! A few things to consider while you’re recruiting and interviewing: 📞 Are you maintaining communication with candidates throughout the process? Candidates crave regular communication – be sure to follow through. ☕ Make them feel valued! If you’re conducting in person interviews – are you ensuring the comfort of your candidate interviewing? This can be as simple as offering breaks to use the restroom, hang their jacket, and offering water or coffee upon arrival. 🗒 Plan interviews in advance and optimize your hiring process – streamline where possible and make decisions quickly! How many of you have interviewed with 4 different people and have been asked the same question 4 times? Ensure your interview panel is prepared and you are optimizing your time with candidates. 🛣 In each interaction with the candidate, are you showing that this is a great place to work? Do you understand your candidate drivers? Interviews are a two-way street – your candidate is also interviewing you to decide if your style suits them and if this is an environment that they want to spend 65% of their awake time. 🎨 Paint the complete picture – it is equally as important to share the challenges this person will face in role so that they are educated and understand what they will be walking into. 🕰 Which leads to the last – be respectful of time! Show up early and on time. If you are scheduled until 3pm, make sure to wrap up early and offer your candidate time to ask questions – and ensure they are walking out of the door at 3pm – they too, have other commitments, possibly a family, and a job to get back to!  #candidateexperience #interviewprep #interviewtips #candidateengagement #candidatejourney #talentacquisition #employerbranding
