Very proud to have played a role in this transformational project bringing the National Urban League home to Harlem, along with a host of incredible co-tenants, including Target, Trader Joe's, SEPHORA, Pandora, Studio Museum in Harlem, Virginia Union University, UNCF and 100 Black Men of America, Inc. Projects like this motivate and excite you to take on the unique challenges of an impactful public-private partnership, and it is incredibly rewarding to have seen this project take shape overly nearly a decade into a reality today. We unveiled One Grand yesterday, hosting top brokers from JLL, CBRE, Cushman & Wakefield, Newmark, Raise Commercial Real Estate, and Savills at the Soho Grand Hotel. Empowering NYC High School Students with Real-World Insights. We at Elevate Research Properties and Taconic Partners were thrilled to host an enthusiastic group of NYC high school students at West End Labs for NYC’s Career Discovery Week. Huge shoutouts to NYC Public Schools and the Partnership for New York City for orchestrating this amazing program. Students from The Academy of Urban Planning and Engineering school from Brooklyn, were led into the world of life science facilities—learning the A-Z of developing and managing a state-of-the-art research hub right in the heart of New York City. Our aim was to offer these NYC high schoolers a comprehensive look at the complexity and thrill of developing top-tier research spaces in urban settings, challenging them to solve real-world problems. Guided by some of our department heads, the student groups showcased remarkable teamwork and creativity during this engaging experience. Career Discovery Week is a testament to the commitment of the Partnership for New York City and NYC Public Schools in bridging the gap between the classroom and the professional world.
