As part of a national awareness campaign by the Colorectal Cancer Alliance, Taiho Oncology team members joined the local community on Sept. 14 for the Philadelphia Walk to End Colon Cancer. This campaign, for which Taiho is a national sponsor, helps raise awareness and funds to support the ongoing efforts of the Colorectal Cancer Alliance to advance colorectal cancer (CRC) research and care. “In addition to raising money, both at the event and at an ice cream social at our Princeton, N.J., headquarters, we made sure to #WalkLoud to help end the stigma of a disease that some find difficult to speak about,” said Jill D'Amica, Senior Specialist, Patient Alliances, who led Team Taiho’s participation in the walk. “Knowledge is power, which is why awareness about colon cancer, its symptoms and treatment options is so important.” Visit the Colorectal Cancer Alliance’s website to learn more about the work they do every day to support those affected by colorectal cancer: https://lnkd.in/eUrYj2dW. #TaihoCares #CRC

Team Taiho will be onsite at ESMO - European Society for Medical Oncology's annual meeting, September 13-17, 2024, in Barcelona, Spain. While there, we’ll attend the launch of Asociación Tumores de Vías Biliares en España (ATUVIBI), a new patient association group in Spain focused on biliary tract cancer. “We’re delighted to support the launch of a new patient advocacy group in Spain aiming to improve the lives of patients and their families who are impacted by this rare cancer,” said Coralie SAYAG, PharmD Senior Director, Medical Affairs Europe South. Atuvibi has a dual mission: to provide support for patients and their families while fostering collaboration between healthcare professionals and the healthcare industry. We are proud to stand with the many dedicated patient advocacy groups and support our shared commitment of improving awareness and access to quality care for patients with various types of cancer. #ESMO24 #TaihoOncology #TaihoCares

Taiho Oncology is proud to have supported the Trenton, N.J., community through our participation in the Trenton Public School District’s Annual Back to School Extravaganza. This event, now in its 9th year, is a vital initiative that helps families in need prepare for the new school year. Carolyn Keller, our Senior Director of Sales Operations and a Trenton resident, served as Taiho’s lead volunteer and oversaw the company’s donation of more than 4,200 pounds of non-perishable items to help support the overall well-being of children and their families. Understanding the impact of food insecurity on local families, Carolyn emphasized the importance of Taiho’s involvement. “The better we support families, the better off we are as a community,” Carolyn said. In addition to distributing food and hygiene products, Taiho donated approximately 2,900 backpacks filled with school supplies to help ensure students are well-prepared for the academic year ahead. Through initiatives like this, we can make a sustainable impact in the communities in which we live and work. We applaud the Trenton Public School District for its work to help families and wish every student a fun and productive school year! #TaihoCares

September is Blood Cancer Awareness Month, a time to highlight the importance of awareness and support for those affected by blood cancers. At Taiho Oncology, we are collaborating with several patient advocacy groups to raise awareness of myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), a group of rare blood disorders that affect the bone marrow’s ability to produce healthy blood cells. This month, our oncology account managers are distributing Patient Awareness Kits filled with important resources from the MDS Foundation, Inc. the Aplastic Anemia & MDS International Foundation, and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. “With patients at the heart of our mission, we understand the importance of the information and support provided by patient advocacy groups,” says Kim Hart, Senior Director of Patient Alliances. “By distributing these kits, we are helping to connect patients living with MDS to patient advocacy groups and supporting awareness efforts to educate people about MDS.” Our team is proud to share these kits with medical practices throughout September, and the kits are available by request year-round. Thank you to our dedicated team for their efforts in supporting those affected by blood cancers. #BloodCancerAwarenessMonth #cancersupport #TaihoCares Cathy Fortenbaugh Katie Fraser Nicole Kasten, BSN, RN, OCN Bryan Francis

Are you familiar with our new West Coast site? It is based in Pleasanton, Calif., and our expert team there is key to Taiho fulfilling our commitment to improve the lives of patients with cancer, their families and their caregivers. The building includes a lab for chemistry, manufacturing and controls, which is designed to reduce the time it takes to develop and deliver potential new medicines for patients. The business park provides many amenities for employees to enhance wellbeing, including a gym, walking path and sporting activities. Our Facilities team recently worked to install new Taiho Oncology signs at our Pleasanton site. “This site is an example of our growing, global business and is strategically located to attract top talent on the West Coast,” says Ed Chapman Vice President, Chief Information Officer and Head of Facilities at Taiho. “We’re excited about this latest addition to Taiho, and value and appreciate the many contributions of Taiho colleagues across our organization.” Interested in joining our team?
