In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, we wanted to share a bit about most recent sex education initiative to empower the Hispanic community, Rompiendo Los Tabúes. 🕊️🤎 Rompiendo Los Tabúes (RLT) was created in partnership with Amplify and El Centro as a response to requests from Latine parents for information about talking to their adolescents about healthy relationships and sexual health. This program features a bilingual, evidence-informed sexual health curriculum that supports healthy intergenerational relationships with the goal of breaking the taboos around sexual health. It was created with the whole family in mind and normalizes the idea that conversations around consent, decision-making, and sexual health can happen in an age-appropriate and culturally relevant way.
