The four things you do with money are earn it, spend it, give it away, or save it. This got us thinking that these activities link to the four styles. When engaging your Eagle energy, you seek to achieve and earn money. Parrots live in the moment and like spending money on experiences and things that create joy. Doves want to help others, so they give it away. And when you tap into your Owl style, you are planning ahead and saving for the future. As always, each of us has all four styles within us. Engaging just one of the styles can get you in trouble. For example, if you live in Eagle mode, you may spend your life working but not enjoying the fruits of your labor. Spending too much Parrot energy could cause you to spend more money than you have. (No, that’s not what credit cards are for.) If your inner Dove desires to give all your money away, you won’t have what you need. And if you spend your life saving, you may not enjoy the journey.
