A Big Thank You to TalentSpark! 💛 I want to take a moment to share my experience with TalentSpark, an incredible recruiting agency based in Boise. Back in December 2023, I received a message from Dylan Buckland at TalentSpark about a short-term contract opportunity with a fantastic local fintech company. At that time, I was actively looking for a new role and was already in the process of interviewing for my dream job. After my initial conversation with Dylan, I was excited to explore this possibility. Following that, I had the pleasure of speaking with Stephanie Parker, the owner of TalentSpark. Here are a few key points that stood out to me during our interactions: - Transparency and Enthusiasm: From our very first conversation, Dylan was upfront about the role, expectations, and compensation, which set a positive tone for the entire process. He was also genuinely kind. - Outstanding Communication: During this process, I had numerous discussions with Stephanie, who provided invaluable support and insight. She felt more like a friend than a recruiter. She always offered genuine advice rather than simply trying to fill a position. She even encouraged me to take my dream job, if that felt like the right route to take, which was incredibly supportive. - Understanding and Support: Both TalentSpark and I were navigating a time-sensitive situation, with them needing to fill a role and me trying to determine the best path for my career. Our open lines of communication made it easier to explore both opportunities and assess what was the right fit for each of us. Stephanie’s ongoing support was incredible. She continuously checked in to ensure I felt informed and confident during the transition. Her insights provided the encouragement I needed to make important decisions about my career. Interestingly, I initially passed on the contract job to pursue my dream role. However, as I thought more about the contract position and the opportunities it could potentially bring, I pivoted back to this role, which ultimately led me to support the CEO (which was an incredible experience). Just six months later, I transitioned into a full-time position supporting both the Chief Financial Officer and the Chief Transformation Officer. What started as a short-term contract has turned into an incredible career opportunity, and I owe a great deal of that to Stephanie and the TalentSpark team. I cannot express enough just how incredible it was to feel valued and understood. Thank you, Stephanie, and the entire TalentSpark team for your unwavering guidance.
