If you are Open to Work and/or apply to jobs... Allow people to connect with you without an email. Yes..you may get some request that are your ideal person but you will also not miss out on an opportunity. I'll be honest...I can find emails but I don't go searching for them Here is what AI told me about how to open yourself up: LinkedIn users can also control who can send them invitations to connect:  Click the Me icon at the top of their LinkedIn homepage  Under the Who can reach you section, click Invitations to connect Select one of the following options:  1. Everyone on LinkedIn: Recommended option  2.Only people who know your email address or appear in your “Imported Contacts” list  3. Only people who appear in your “Imported Contacts” list

75% of employees around the world (75% in the US) feel confident they could easily find a new role if they left their current company in the next few months. That's what the studies show however, as Korn Ferry points out... people underestimate the struggles of teh current job market. Thanks for Laura Oliver-Suos for posting the entire report below I love the optimism but based on Linkedin and the stories of months if not year+ of unemployment this surprises me I don't usually recommend leaving a role without a new one secured but I get there are times you have to walk away. Know the market, network and learn about the current state before just quitting..if you really need the income.

    Thanks for extra fun Snoop!

Snoop Dogg...a culture creator, a leader who creates engagement and definitely 'adds to' the culture. Who is your Snoop at work and how are you leveraging them to impact your culture, your team, your results? The vibe he created is hard to describe, and I’m pretty sure he gained a ton of new fans. I had my own stereotypes about Snoop, but now I’m a huge fan. Sometimes 'cheerleader' like people and those with a quirky style and a lot of energy are frowned upon ( I may know someone like that 👩🔧 ). Last ...if you haven't seen his documentary on Coach Snoop on Netflix I recommend it, but beware it's rated R for language but shows what a great person of impact he is. I enjoyed a lot of the Olympics..track, swimming and gymnastics mainly but Snoop appearances was right up there!

If I were between roles, worried about my job, or experiencing a slow period in my business, I'd dedicate 25% of my time to learning AI. The likelihood that AI won't touch your role is about as likely it is as finding someone who doesn't use the internet these days. Yes, it can be very frustrating that AI may replace some of your work...however, the sooner you get on board the more likely your knowledge/skills of AI can be a selling factor. Here are 3 things I would do...though I've been wrong a few times: 1. Ask Chatgpt how it may change my role - here is a simple prompt: "Imagine you are a VP of Accounting. How could AI impact my position?" Then Make sure you keep drilling down, asking more questions as if you're talking to a peer. 3. Learn & Educate Yourself: Find a couple of YouTubers you like and dig in. 3. Know Your Industry/Function: Understand how AI is impacting and could impact your role, function, or industry. What did I miss? Any other advice?

Kudos to Leah and Thanks to Gallup!

Warning: proud mom post and recognition to a company I have admired for years - Gallup! Anyone that has worked with me likely knows I'm a huge fan of #Gallup...I believe I was introduced to Gallup back in 2000 at Best Buy. BBY gave me a ton of exposure to Q12, Engagement, and Strengthsfinder, which I have leveraged for years in my career. I thought I was pretty knowledgeable, then comes my 22-year-old daughter Leah Nordstrom, who has definitely surpassed me through her time in the Clifton Builders Program at UNL and being a Workplace Advisory Intern (Sales) at Gallup this summer. It's crazy how she can speak Q12 and Strengths and connect the dots. Gallup has absolutely lived up to what they preach. The opportunity, exposure, and empowerment within the Internship program went beyond the over-capacity type work that some interns receive. One thing that I've seen Leah experience and I vividly saw in the office is the extensive use of the Gallup Drops. I couldn't believe that 💧 are still a huge part of the Gallup culture, which, as we all know, recognition programs are not easy to sustain. Sure, the Drops are a Gallup thing, but truly the fact these have been in place and going strong for 15+ years, based on my estimate, is impressive! Definitely a direct impact to the Q4 - "In the last seven days, I have received recognition or praise for doing good work" and many other questions. Kudos to Gallup and congrats to Leah for a successful summer in the corporate world. P.S. Make sure to connect with Leah - I've encouraged her to start building her network!

When I heard that both Simone Biles and Suni Lee faced setbacks, it reminded me of an important truth: just because someone encounters challenges doesn’t mean they aren’t talented. Great people, great candidates, and great leaders aren’t perfect. They have mishaps, make mistakes, and sometimes make less-than-ideal decisions. But as we’ve often heard, it’s not about the fall—it’s about how they rise, how they respond, what they learn Give grace... If someone consistently delivers, they will continue to do so. We all have a lot going on and none of us are perfect. Well I've been told that a few times. I love all the reminders from watching greatnes...
