September 27th is #NationalGayMensHIVAIDsAwarenessDay. This is a day for encouraging HIV testing, prevention, and treatment among gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men, in order to help reduce the stigma associated with the virus. Tapestry believes that having accessible testing available for participants gives them the tools, education, and autonomy to make informed choices for their health. We offer HIV testing and PrEP HIV prevention medication at our Harm Reduction and Sexual and Reproductive Clinics, as well as in the community. For more information on testing and medication, visit our website: https://lnkd.in/dsXtz_2V #NGMHAAD #TapestryHealth

To report a found syringe, call the Needle Exchange Hotline: (413) 650-2679. https://lnkd.in/eXmpx-Se

Every year, Tapestry's Harm Reduction team gathers with our communities to remember loved ones and continue to bring awareness to life-saving harm reduction and overdose prevention. At the Northampton event, Tapestry Harm Reduction Director, Liz Whynott Remarks, "One thing that puts most risk at people dying is overusing when you’re alone and so it’s really important to figure out ways to decrease isolation and to support people in that." Tapestry has been working to end overdose for decades. Today our Harm Reduction clinics are known for being a resource where folks can receive care and a listening ear. Our team works to remove barriers to healthcare for people who use drugs by providing life-saving Narcan, needle exchange, drug checking and fentanyl test strips, wound care and more!
