Today is National Coming Out Day, an annual celebration in support of 2SLGBTQIA+ (Two Spirit, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual, and others not explicitly named) individuals "coming out of the closet." If you're a #cybersecurity expert looking to use your skills to impact the lives of vulnerable queer youth, the nonprofit Give Us The Floor recently posted a great opportunity. Give Us The Floor runs a supportive online chat community that reduces shame and isolation and builds hope for 2SLGBTQIA+ youth. Last month I joined Barclays' #probono program initiative in collaboration with Taproot Foundation, where I’ve been working with COOP which is an amazing nonprofit on a mission to bridge the gap of underemployment for first-generation graduates in the US. Over the course of 12 weeks, my team and I are focusing on market research and strategic growth to help COOP expand its footprint in #SanFrancisco, #Miami, and #Chicago. Last week, we had the incredible opportunity to meet our COOP partners Sarah Conte Wessel and Kevin Ly in person at the NYC office, where we facilitated a resume review and mock interview session for their talented students. I look forward to sharing the strategy and solutions we develop over the next few weeks. Stay tuned! A big thank you to Barclays for this opportunity to contribute and make an impact in partnership with COOP. #probono #nonprofit #careerdevelopment #marketresearch #strategy #socialimpact #productmanagement

Reflecting on an Exciting Project Milestone! ✨ Thanks to the Taproot Foundation, I recently had the incredible opportunity to partner with an organization on a comprehensive market analysis and strategic growth plan for one of their key programs. This project was challenging and deeply rewarding, and I’m excited to share a bit about the journey. Going into it, I had limited experience in this specific area. But with each step—reading, researching, and analyzing—I learned so much. 📚 There were moments when I questioned my readiness, but pushing myself out of my comfort zone proved invaluable. Here’s a look at the work that went into this project: 💼 Project Breakdown: Market Position Analysis Assessed the program’s brand reputation, national affiliation, and strategic location as foundational strengths. Competitive Landscape Evaluated regional competitors, including pricing, program diversity, and service offerings, to highlight the program's unique advantages and areas for growth. Demographic and Socio-Economic Analysis Analyzed target demographics and socio-economic factors to identify key audience segments and align with community needs. Strategic Recommendations Proposed targeted strategies to enhance visibility, diversify offerings, and improve accessibility to support program growth and engagement. 🌟 Key Takeaway This experience taught me that you don’t need to have everything figured out before you start. Tackling a new challenge—whether there’s a gap in employment, limited experience, or it’s your first time working on a specific project—is a powerful way to learn and grow. Opportunities to put your skills to use are invaluable. For anyone navigating career growth, freelance work, or pro bono projects, these experiences are more than just “practice.” They’re a way to stay sharp, prove your capabilities, and stay current. Don’t let doubt hold you back—you’re ready for more than you think! #GrowthMindset #CareerDevelopment #Opportunities #MarketAnalysis #ProBonoWork #KeepGrowing #TakeTheLeap
