At TARGAN, we're dedicated to building a culture that champions health and wellness! 🌟 Over the last few months, we partnered with the American Heart Association to promote a more active lifestyle while raising funds for a great cause. Our month-long Step-Up Challenge encouraged everyone to get moving, and we saw fantastic participation from our team! Our top 5 walkers collectively achieved an impressive 4,487,982 steps, each receiving a prize for their incredible efforts! A huge congratulations to everyone who took part and made this initiative such a success! This past weekend, we also joined the 2024 Triangle Heart Walk, where our colleagues and their families came together to support heart health and raise awareness for cardiovascular well-being. ❤️ Swipe through to see some fantastic moments from the Heart Walk and photos of our team members staying active throughout the competition! #TeamTARGAN #HeartHealth #EmployeeWellbeing #Community

𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦 𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐫 𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐬! With poultry projected to be the fastest-growing protein in 2024, and the market set to exceed $375 billion by 2030, every step toward greater efficiency is vital. In the recent issue of MEAT+POULTRY, Kirk Adams, Vice President at TARGAN Inc., discusses how achieving uniform bird sizes can revolutionize poultry production, enhancing both profitability and efficiency across the value chain. Uniformity starts at the hatchery. TARGAN’s WingScan, an automated feather sexing system, provides a less invasive approach that supports higher animal welfare standards while accurately sexing and sorting chicks early. This enables targeted feeding strategies at the farm, promoting consistent growth and leading to more uniform bird sizes. When uniform birds enter the processing plant, they improve the performance of automated equipment, reduce waste, and increase yields. By implementing sexing and adopting technologies like WingScan, poultry producers can stay competitive and adapt to the demands of a rapidly growing market. 👉 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞: https://lnkd.in/eyZdhNgM #Poultry #Automation #Innovation #TARGAN #WingScan

However, the global labor crisis is hitting the poultry industry hard, with a shortage of skilled chick sexers creating bottlenecks. To overcome these challenges, AI-driven solutions are becoming indispensable, enabling producers to maintain efficiency and meet the growing demand. In a recent feature for International Hatchery Practice, our Founder and CEO, Ramin Karimpour, explores how TARGAN addresses these challenges with our AI-powered WingScan System. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘆:  Cost-Efficient: Reduces the need for large teams of skilled chick sexers, cutting training and recruitment costs. Consistent: Eliminates human error, ensuring reliable, continuous performance without concerns about illness, absenteeism, or supervision. Scalable: The modular design seamlessly adapts to any hatchery’s current or future throughput requirements. Improved Welfare: Minimizes handling, reducing stress on chicks and promoting better overall health. 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲: https://lnkd.in/eeeMeqrn By embracing AI-driven solutions like WingScan, hatcheries can effectively navigate labor constraints, boost productivity, and meet the rising global demand for poultry.

This month, we had the pleasure of hosting the ASSURE program from North Carolina State University at TARGAN. The ASSURE program focuses on providing animal science undergraduates with hands-on research experience, mentorship, and education in leadership practices—all centered around advancing sustainability in animal production. Led by Jacquelyn Moné, our Field Trials & Study Associate II and alumna of NCSU's Animal Science program, alongside Liz Turpin, PhD, MBA, Vice President of Bioprocess, the group had the opportunity to explore our facilities and engaged with our scientists and engineers to learn how TARGAN leverages innovative technologies to impact animal welfare and production across the poultry industry. The students concluded their day at TARGAN with a Q&A session featuring team members from various disciplines across the organization. This session provided insights into career opportunities and offered advice on navigating the field of animal production. Thank you to everyone who participated in this event and the ASSURE program for the opportunity to continue our collaboration. #TARGAN #AnimalScience #Innovation #NCSU #AnimalWelfare #AnimalProduction
