Just over a year ago, the devastating fires in Maui left Lahaina in ruins, displacing countless families and individuals. Recognizing the urgent need for support, Taskrabbit partnered with IKEA and TY Management to help assemble furniture for 30 Temporary Housing Units in Kapula Village. Taskrabbit for Good, Taskrabbit's social impact program, sponsored 502 Tasker hours to help. This effort was more than just assembling furniture—it was about providing comfort, stability, and hope to those who lost everything. Working with various trades and community partners, we aimed to create spaces that represented the first step towards rebuilding lives and restoring a sense of normalcy. This summer, Taskrabbit hit the streets and subways in our key markets to bring people a fresh message with a familiar beat. When a Tasker shows up to take on your to-do list, it's not just about building your bookcase, cleaning your bathtub, or mounting your new TV -- it's about giving you something to sing about. The goal of the campaign was to raise awareness of Taskrabbit’s core service offering in a fun, relatable way that would (hopefully) get stuck in your head all day. We’re excited to be recognized with three Silver MUSE Creative Awards for our ‘Fixed & Remixed’ OOH campaign. Last week, Taskrabbit for Good (TR4G) reunited with San Francisco-based partner organization Code Tenderloin as part of TR4G’s workforce development program. We held four job skills workshops over two days, covering customer service, moving assistance, furniture assembly, and mounting. Tasker Joe did an incredible job leading the trainings both days for a full house – 25 people each day! Thank you to Joe and Code Tenderloin for the opportunity!

We’re excited to announce that Taskrabbit is renewing our partnership with Anthos|Home, a New York City-based organization that works to find permanent housing for homeless and at-risk New Yorkers through the housing voucher system. Over the last year, with the aid of a $10,000 grant from Taskrabbit for Good, Anthos has used Taskrabbit services to make 21 apartments move-in ready. These services include plumbing repair, furniture assembly, deep cleaning, and anything else necessary to turn an empty apartment into a home. Taskrabbit for Good has granted an additional $10,000 to support Anthos in their work over the next year.
