Tax-Aid was invited by our longtime sponsor and partner Intuit to co-host a free tax preparation event in Los Angeles! A superb small team of Tax-Aid volunteers helped prepare returns over two days at two community colleges alongside Intuit team members. Here's what Sarah Hilmer, Senior Manager, Local Impact & Strategic Alliances at Intuit had to say about the event: "Tax-Aid has been an incredible partner to Intuit, as we brought together tax experts and partners to host our inaugural Community Tax Day in early April. Together, we created opportunities for underserved individuals and families in the greater LA area to get the tax assistance they needed, often resulting in a tax refund that put more money in their pockets. Intuit is committed to bringing free tax filing and assistance to underserved communities, and Tax-Aid’s expertise and partnership will enable us to scale our impact when we bring the event back next year."
