🚨 Important Tax Update for Remote Sellers! 🚨 North Carolina has officially repealed the transaction threshold for remote sales, effective July 1, 2024. This change means remote sellers only need to consider their gross sales to determine tax obligations. 📊 Key Takeaways: Simplifies compliance by focusing solely on sales thresholds. Remote sellers with gross sales over $100,000 to NC must register and remit sales tax. Potential deregistration for those below the new threshold. Want to know the full details and implications? Check out our latest TaxByte article here: https://hubs.ly/Q02FdgRv0 #SalesTax #TaxCompliance #RemoteSales #Ecommerce #TaxUpdate #NorthCarolina

🚨 Wyoming Tax Update: Wyoming has eliminated its 200-transaction threshold for remote seller sales tax collection. 🚨 Effective July 1, 2024: • Only the $100,000 gross revenue threshold remains • Simplifies compliance for smaller sellers • Aligns with trends in other states This change impacts remote sellers doing business in Wyoming. Review your sales data to check if you still meet the economic nexus threshold. 🚨 Colorado Notice & Reporting Requirements Update 🚨 TaxValet recently sought clarity from the Colorado Department of Revenue regarding inconsistencies in their guidance on Notice and Reporting Requirements for out-of-state retailers. These requirements obligate retailers to notify customers of their use tax liability and report customer sales to the state. The Office of Tax Policy confirmed that retailers without a physical presence in Colorado and sales below the economic nexus threshold may no longer be subject to these requirements, based on a new General Information Letter (GIL 24-002). At TaxValet, we're committed to keeping our clients informed and advocating for clarity in sales tax guidance. If you have questions about Colorado's requirements or any other sales tax issues, we're here to help. More details can be found on our blog: https://hubs.ly/Q02xftZV0
