The Association Management practice is offically settled in our spiffy new office! The decision to move part of the TCG team out of our building at 125 West Market was a hard one - we kinda like each other! - but this new space is perfect for us. Special thanks to our A+ moving crew. 💪

We are thrilled to congratulate Lisa Perius, CAE and Kim Williams on their Indiana Society of Association Executives STAR Awards last night! 🎉🌟 Lisa received the prestigious Association Executive of the Year award, and Kim received the Impactful Community Philanthropic Program award for the Indiana Academy of Ophthalmology's eye safety campaign leading up to the solar eclipse. We are super proud of this amazing team!

Over the past two years, we have made an effort to understand each other better as a team and uncover each of our individual talents and challenges. The DISC assessment was where we started, and that was a great baseline. The Six Types of Working Genius model was the second tool we worked through, which focuses more on your preferences than your competencies - very interesting (and liberating!). With the help of our in-house facilitator (thank you very much Lisa Perius, CAE!) we tackled a new one this week - Insights. Our association management model requires a TON of communication and trust in order to work well. Having a better understanding of each other and how our priorities/values/skills/preferences differ has been immensely helpful in figuring out how to ensure the right people are in the right places and keep us all invested in the great work we are doing.

The Corydon Group, LLC (TCG) is pleased to announce the hiring of Matt Kavgian, MPA/MAIR, as chief of staff, a newly created position. He will also serve as executive director for the Indiana Economic Development Association (IEDA), a long-term client of the firm’s association management practice.    In his new role, Matt will assist our executive team with strategic direction, operational alignment and oversight, and special projects.    As executive director of IEDA, he will assist the board of directors in formulating the organization’s mission, goals, objectives, and related policies and will be responsible for their day-to-day implementation.    Since 2009, IEDA has been under a full-time management agreement with the association management practice of our firm. Welcome aboard, Matt!
